Today Austria's High Court said there is no reason to deny gay couples full adoption rights. They deemed the current restrictions as discriminatory.
In the past they told the conservative majority Parliament to allow one person in the relationship to adopt and now they said there is absolutely no reason for gays to have a separate parental status.
They cited an EU article regarding the right to privacy and a family.
The best part is that they gave the government a deadline, December 31, to change the adoption laws
Let's hope more courts across Europe take note and that they order marriage too in the near future.
