FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (KTVI)- A teen being booked by a police officer immediately took action when the arresting officer collapsed.

Cameras inside of the Fort Lauderdale police booking facility captured Jamal Rutledge, 17, while officer Franklin Foulks was processing him.

Moments later, the officer collapsed in his chair.

Rutledge began yelling and got up to check on Foulks. The handcuffed teen yelled out the door for help and soon, two more officers came running in to find Foulks semiconscious, lying on the ground.

The responding officers administered CPR and called for an AED, an automated external defibrillator.

If you are collapsing just from sitting down how in the world are you a cop

This kid did a selfless act to help this cop out even though he was about to book him. And people STILL find ways to be racist towards the kid in the comments.

It'll be interesting to see how the media spins this story (if they even report on it, since nobody needs to know about black people doing good deeds).

He's getting publicly recognized (with the responding officer) and already made the local news. He also probably got the charges dropped. What else could he possibly need?
