Celeb News: Lily Allen is BROKE

Lily Allen claims that she is "completely skint" and has even had to sell her £35,000 BMW to make ends meet.
The singer says that she has spent all of her royalties from debut album 'Alright, Still', and says until she gets money from her latest album release 'It's Not Me, It's You', she is broke.
"I've been hit big time by the credit crunch. Actually, I've just had to sell my car because I'm so broke. I bought a car last year and that was probably my biggest extravagance. Clothes, too. I'm always buying clothes. I'm completely skint," Allen says in The Mirror.
And getting a loan from the bank is not an option, thanks to the recession: "I'm waiting until I get the royalties from the (new) album and all the radio plays, but that takes about a year," Lily added.
"I can't even spend on credit cards. The banks will usually front your money in that kind of situation, but they are not lending at the moment, so it's a tricky time."

You guys don't realize that singer don't get paid that much nowadays. Everybody is switching to digital copies which are much cheaper, which means less money that goes to the artist. Remember money not only goes to the artist, but also goes to the record company, the mixers, the producers, the writers, the percussionists, the guitarists, the album designers, etc. Remember way back when, TLC filed for bankruptcy even though they were producing huge hits like "Waterfalls" and "No Scrubs". Wasn't is also just recently that Rihanna said something about not having that much money? The thing is, is that in the entertainment business, singers' payments are one of the lowest. Actors and actresses are the highest paid in the industry.

Everybody knows that the only thing that gives money to singers is touring!
Lily Allen needs a tour! NOW! Especially here on Brazil lol

£35,000 is around $50,000. It's not as expensive as some singers' cars but it's certainly not cheap.

well most major artists these days get most of their money from tours, but i dont see Lily pulling in much cash from a tour...
