Gee was released as the lead single off of Girls' Generation's first mini album of the same
name. The single topped the charts and some sources estimate its sales at over 4.9 million
in South Korea alone. Gee was also released in Japan, where it sold nearly 2 million copies
in combined digital and physical sales.
