With less than a month to go, Katy has a trick to alleviating the pressure of performing for a global audience.
"I've actually been calling it the Puppy Bowl to kind of minimize the pressure," Katy joked with Access Hollywood of how she's handling the mental preparation for the huge gig.
"Nobody's going to live up to Beyonce, stop putting me on that altar. How dare you!" she joked. "I really am going to play on my strengths, which I believe for me is a combination of humor and sass and color and incredible joy, and hopefully everybody will be singing along to all these songs because they will be quite familiar."
Always pushing the fashion envelope, Katy is adamant that there will be no wardrobe malfunctions like the one that overshadowed Janet Jackson's performance back in 2004.
"I would never do anything consciously to go that route because I don't want that title or caption. I really want the next day, I guess, the next day's news or water cooler talk to be 'Oh that was a great performance!' I really want it to be about the music," the "Roar" singer stressed.

I also enjoyed Beyoncé's halftime show much more than Madonna's. It was more about the performance rather than the visuals.
That was the point. Bey could have had 10x more props and effects like Madonna (and katy will). Bey's performance was about her ability....she gave %1000
