No, it isn't inherently creepy to go for a few drinks and chill. A few people may even come up and talk to you. It's all about how you carry yourself. There is nothing wrong with treating yourself to a good time and that is expected as you get older. Don't always depend on a crowd to cover up your insecurities (my born this way era is here).
I've never gone alone yet, but I've seen people who have and they've never been creepy!

This.

@ everyone saying it's creepy. Get over your insecurities gerls! There's nothing wrong with treating yourself and having a good time on your own. Obviously, if you go alone and you're sulking around, looking and feeling like a drag, no one will want to talk to you (thus, making you look/feel like a loser). But if you're just enjoying yourself, grab a couple drinks, chill at the bar and don't give a damn about what you THINK people are thinking about you (because trust me, unless you're like model hot, nobody is thinking about that random guy sitting alone at the bar).
I don't go alone very often, but when I do, I use it as a chance to sharpen my social skills. Going out alone kind of forces you to be open and social in order to have fun. You don't get to rely on your security blanket of friends, so you have to make new ones. Every time, I've always been pleasantly surprised. Even made a new friend w benefits one time bc we had so many things in common. If I had gone out with my friends that would've never happened.
I feel like way too many people in our generation have no people skills. We always wanna stay in our small group of friends and act brand new when someone tries to come up and join us. But what's the point of going out in public if you're not going to engage?

That said, just a note: If you are out with your friends, don't act stuck up if some random person comes up to try to join in on your fun. Sometimes they might be alone or new in town and just looking for people to hang out with. My friends and I always try to be open to outsiders, and it's a great way to make new friends.
