And even excluding the Bey era that started in the 10th year of Bey's solo career, Bey comes out ahead unless you legitimately feel like it's "more impressive" for one to be ahead by album sales with nearly twice as many releases -- I don't. Taking that into consideration, the question posed by the OP was pretty subjective anyhow and I simply listed why I thought Bey's was more impressive. You can split hairs over what months exclude what eras all you wish -- still doesn't change my opinion over what I find more impressive looking at their first decade overall achievements and milestones.

DC started in 1997. On top of that, IA...SF wasn't even released within 10 years of the release of
Destiny's Child.
Your second statement is just agreeing with what I said. DC=>B'Day outdid Rih's first ten years.
Rihanna's 54M albums/SEAs/TEAs is bigger than where Bey's solo career is now (which is including BEYONCE). I find it more impressive to sell more. You could make the exact opposite argument and say Bey should have an easier time selling albums/singles because she actually has breaks in-between eras however you can never deny that it's more impressive to sell more records.
