I find myself stuck in pre-2012 music. It all ended with Born To Die in 2012 (my top-3 album ever), since then I don't really like new music. I am a huge fan of electropop and electronic music in general. But something does not click with me with the new music. I feel like I am turning into those older people who only listen to oldies (80's, 90's), and for me it is electropop of 2000's and early 2010's.

I wanna know new music but I hate having to discover it. I also HATE listening to albums in full if I don't know the songs it's weird

2014 had the worst collection of music releases I've ever seen tbh. I can literally count the songs I enjoyed last year on my hands. So in that sense I don't like new music, but a lot of my faves are releasing this year so I probably will like 'new music' by the end of the year

I do agree that electropop of the early 2010's is my favourite time period in music and I'll always like the songs released then more than the songs released today

I'm the same way. I prefer listening to my music that I already know and I love but I always love finding new music and adding it to my collection but I just feel like it's such a process to discover it and I'm not even sure if I'll like it.

no I pretty much have the opposite problem. not always, but sometimes I get tired of music I heard a few years ago and I have to find something new to satisfy what I'm missing from it.

Maybe I have a soft spot for novelty, trendy music.

I only listen to ancient egyptian music.
