Another entertainment show that had great success last night was The Voice UK. The show returned to our screens last night with its fourth series and won the 7pm timeslot as 8.05 million tuned in to see Rita Ora sworn in as the new coach on the panel. Even though the ratings are still very impressive, they were down on the 8.37 million who tuned in to see Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson join the panel last year.
It seems that the BBC’s decision to bring the show forward to January – as it did last year – in a bid to avoid a clash with Britain’s Got Talent has paid off once again. Many have ben quick to take to Twitter to praise the BBC for adding Rita Ora to the panel this year.
How did she boost ratings when it says the premiere ratings were down from last year's premiere?
I think it's phrased wrong. The ratings went down slightly but they're attributing the (relatively) steady ratings to Rita. It could have dropped a bunch but it didn't.

This stat means Rita's the Gwen of The Voice UK, Kylie's the Shakira, and Jessie's the Xtina.
People mad at her again Probably because she sings better than you faves, her last solo single was a 1# in her main market, her last collab was a top five, her last charity single was a 1#... Her face is on every brand. She's wanted everywhere. Other singers have been praising her..etc Superstars are born on the top.
