Well, I dont think people would say this. It is just kinda interesting that you criticize vocal abilities of Iggy while you have Rihanna in your signature. Lets not pretend that all singers all vocally gifted like Adele or Sia, but also dont slam othe musicians when you are used to listen to a vocally limited singer as well. Its hypocritical.

Oh for crying out loud. The "not when you stan for..." shade is so stale. Yeah, vocally Rihanna isn't as talented as Adele or Sia. I never said she was. But just because Adele and Sia are two of the most talented vocalists in the industry doesn't mean Rihanna isn't a talented vocalist.

Rihanna and Iggy aren't comparable. Iggy literally has no talent. At all. Every live performance sounds like an Australian girl doing rap karaoke in a bad impersonation of an American accent, because that is exactly what it is. Rapping is a talent. It's not something you do just because you can't sing and want to be famous and on stage. You have to be good at it, and she objectively isn't. Even when you do get passed the accent, even if you pretend it sounds authentic, she still sounds terrible in EVERY live performance.

She sounds puffed and like she has a frog in her throat.

You can cherry pick Rihanna's terrible performances (the most obvious one being her performance of 'Hero' when she was only like 15 and had received no vocal training) but there are only a handful of those.

With Iggy, it's my opinion that literally every performance is terrible and I don't know why no one talks about that, or why we can't talk about it. However if any of her fans have a performance that they can show me and say "she sounds really good here!" I am more than happy to be proven wrong.

An essay is not 4 paragraphs and a sentence.

I'm not talking about stage presence. I'm talking about raw talent here and I honestly don't think Iggy has a talent. I'm trying to phrase it eloquently because like ks_dollar said, I don't want people thinking that I'm saying these things to rile up her fans in some stupid "fan war." I'm just trying to articulate my negative opinions concerning her lack of talent.

I don't hate her. I don't even know her. I'm sure she's a great friend, an amazing girlfriend, a wonderful daughter, a loving sister, etc. But that's not going to stop me from having my opinions.

It's not enough to have a dream and work really hard at it. You should actually have to be talented to receive global recognition and fame at her level. There are so many more talented musicians, vocalists and rappers who will probably never even get paid a cent for their talents, who deserves Iggy's success so much more than she does.

If you can honestly say this is one of her better performances, then I'm going to say it again, the girl has literally no talent. And not even "oh her talent isn't very impressive." There's no talent there in the first place.

I understand what you're saying ans by all means, you're entitled to your opinion about her talent.

The fact is that talent and global recognition/success really dont have to to hand in hand. Taylor Swift is huge but her vocals are pretty questionable. And her songwriting skills get dragged a lot for being basic. I'm even going to play devil's advocate and mention Nicki because her performance skills are also pretty subpar (sans Anaconda).

And thats not a drag on Nicki, because most rappers dont translate well live. Females just get held to a much higher standard performance wise. Is the criticism about Iggy her rapping skills? Because she isnt doing choreo?

I'm really curious.

It's not that at all. I'm not trying to annoy people over the internet or hate on a pop star because I'm unhappy with my own life. I just think that objectively, she is really, really, really bad live and exhibits an extreme lack of talent. I'm probably going to get warned for this one too, even though I'm trying to explain it more eloquently than my previous post. I think that she's not a good live performer and I'm surprised that she's had this many live performances and no media outlet ever talks about it.

Like am I hearing something different? Is it just because I myself (and now ks_dollar) also have Australian accents, so we know how much she is straining to put on a voice (and maintain it for an entire song) when she gets on stage?

Does she sound good/authentic to Americans? I think she sounds good to Europeans and people from Asia, the Middle East, South America, etc. because English is their second language. So they can't hear much difference between what Iggy does and how people in American movies sound.

But when I hear it I'm just like "Jesus Christ ordering a martini at a gay bar, does she honestly think that sounds authentic? Like what are you doing woman? omg."

The only reason people might say that is because you're always talking **** about her lol. Is not just expressing your opionion is that every time you do is something negative trying to shade/drag with the long ass posts. Is your opinion and no one can change it usually when you dislike someone you'll always see most of the stuff they do as wrongs. But don't act like you don't know why people say you're "hating".
