1989 appeals to all demographics (from both a sound & lyrical perspective). It has such a broad appeal--Taylor has marketed herself this way purposely as well.

Taylor is the 1% in pop music. Literally no one else could have pulled off what she did with 1989 in today's current sales climate. She deserves the enormous amount of credit too because she's also worked her $@$ off promoting the album. But, it's unfair to single out Beyonce.

Both Tay & Bey are at the top of their games right now and their success proves it.
