I don't really get why Batman vs Superman, as if Bruno stood a chance against Clark, the idea of it is dumb if you ask me

Well most superhero movies dont make no sense
The fact that the Hulk had to struggle in the avengers movie

The acting, yeah. Definitely makes it a superior movie. The tone of the movie is very serious and very dark, unlike the Marvel movies. Nolan tackled it like he would a "normal" action thriller, so obviously he's gonna have to make the acting and the script stand out from other superhero movies. He did an amazing job.

But I judge a movie based on it's genre and it's tone. The Marvel movies deliver great scripts and good acting, but they're not perfect, which The Dark Knight is. But I hope that Captain America: Civil War will change that. If the Russo brothers do it right .. Civil War could surpass The Dark Knight.

We'll see if this movie can deliver.

~ps it's a comic book movie, they're producing classic feel-good action movies. Call me when DC can understand that it's producing a summer blockbuster and not take itself so damn seriously. Also, call me when DC combine genres in a political/superhero/crime/thriller/action mashup and not just hit me with desperate attempts to darken Superman's image and use Batman's edginess to disguise a basic attempt at ignoring logic and loopholes as being a dark wannabe thriller. Heath Ledger was the saving grace of that franchise because his performance actually justified their ridiculous self-importance.The point of a film is to entertain, and it doesn't take a genius to realise how much more entertaining Marvel's catalogue are than DC's.



Even ignoring all that; the last movie in the trilogy was literally like 9 hours of watching Batman getting his ass handed to him while Anne Hathaway came by every two minutes to save his life minus a random, unexplained and very pointless forty minute interlude where Liam Neeson magically appears and encourages him to do his cardio workout. Not that great!

People can come for DC after their slew of films come out, they've literally only had Man of Steel in the past 2 years. It's easy to say Marvel is killing it because they are literally releasing 2 films a year for the past several years.

If we're going by general opinions are there really any Marvel movies that people say are one of the greatest of all time like The Dark Knight?

You seem like a smart person and I think it's probably clear to you that The Dark Knight is nowhere near one of the greatest films of all time. I think it's also probably clear that DC movies are headed in the way of Man of Steel (which is not a good thing).

Why did this turn into Dc vs Marvel? Marvel will remain on top of the movie industry for at least 10 years more (based only on its current receips).

I liked the avengers a little. I absolutely did not like Captain America. They are very bright in my opinion. Too much happy and not enough gloom. The Dark Knight for instance was very dark and the acting was genius. I was scared half of the time watching it and it was just an impeccable film. Even Cat Woman slated my life too much

Makes sense. They were filming for well over a year. That seems way too long for just one movie.
