Well it's true.

I don't agree that people who think all lives matter are part of the problem though. The people who are mistreating and killing black people are the problem, not people who understand that there are other issues as well.

Black people aren't the only ones targeted by police brutality. I don't support the hashtag because it's plagued by the same issues that permeate all these of-the-moment social media movements, which generalize and try to boil down complex issues that require extensive knowledge of history and society into simple hashtags and catchphrases for people to retweet and share, simplifying things to the point where addressing them in those reductive terms ignores many of the underlying issues and won't help change a thing.

The fact that you're trying to devalue the movement and equate it to "online activism" when the movement has spawned thousands of real life protests all around the world that are still going on day in and day out.

So just because one judge treated you unfairly in some dumb court case means that your entire race is facing as much prejudice as ours? Go somewhere with that mess. And the sign clearly says that it's not just black lives that matter. You're being extremely racist.

Yes. Of course. Every PoC yes, but considering the historical signifance of slavery in America, and how AA still suffer that stigma to this day, its not hard to understand why its so dear to PoC.

That being said, online activism is great but it can only ever work if persons become even more educated to the point they can challenge the system.

Spark a change. Mike Brown was that catalyst. How people use their platform is for them to decide.

I hadn't thought about this, and how police forces nowadays are essentially recreating that dynamic which separates it from the brutality Latinos like myself or Arabs might experience.
