Have any of you been faced with the all-too familiar predicament of getting a friend request from your parents on Facebook? If you have, did you accept it or not? And why or why not?

My grandfather followed my brother and I on Twitter (I don't even know how, my phone isn't linked to the account) and immediately two seconds after I saw the notification I blocked him

He also followed every celebrity under the sun, once he pretended to not know who One Direction was but he followed all of the members

My dad only stalks, doesn't request. Although I think he doesn't do that anymore since he trusts me more.

I accepted them recently knowing that I don't post anything risky or bad on Facebook.

I blocked my mother. she can't see my status.

They both send me friend requests, I didn't accept or reject them, they've been pending all this time lol.

I am not accepting tho. Not until a few years.

I used to be friends with my dad on FB but he would always stalk me and tell me to delete posts/comments that were even slightly inappropriate. One time I was quoting a Harry Potter meme (in like ninth grade) saying "I will shove my dick up this owl's ass!!" (or something like that), he saw and didn't know it was just a joke I ****ing deleted the **** out of him.

Yes, my mom had a phase when she made a Facebook and she's me and my brothers' friends there but she doesn't log in anymore, luckily

No, I don't even add my siblings I want my privacy and getting away from their comments, I dont want them ruining my post by saying embarassing things or giving me advice, I dont know how some of my friend really add them, the other day a guy I know had a comment from his girlfriend's dad and he warned him about hurting her, you can say those things via inbox

I blocked all my family on everything except instagram...

It's freakin annoying when they comment on every photo I post tho, like bish no, text me, don't comment on my instagram to ask me things...

My aunt added me about a month ago, and although I feel really bad because she's the nicest person on this planet I didn't want to accept her. Whenever I'm with her I act 5 times more tame than I normally do.

I also just added my sister last month after like 7 years of us both having Facebook. We spent a whole day going through each other's stuff and laughing at the crap we post

My dad made an account like a year ago and added my sister and I. I texted her and said 'Omg, dad has Facebook?' her response was 'Yes, and I blocked him'.

Stupid me, I should have waited for her answer because I accepted. But he's so more involved with ACTUALLY keeping in touch with family overseas etc that my posts go ignored. I don't post dumb things anyways so I have no worries, just not the overly 'gay things'.
