For everyone saying it's not worth it, look at the London Olympics. We still use a lot of the venues, it brought in MILLIONS of pounds and people and was the best Games ever. Wish we could host for a fourth time.

And the Beijing one was great, I'll admit that... but London pips it to the post.
the road layout of the city cannot support the Olympics, we can barely support the morning commute. The olympics here would be a mess. The city is way too compact, the roads arent build too handle large amounts of people, and where would the athletes stay? Braintree? Providence? Mess.
Lol what a boring choice of a city. De Blasio ruined it for New York. It would be massive here since people all over the world already want to visit NYC anyway. Then again, I don't want peasants tourists crowding up my city even more.
Paris should get it, as it will be their 100 year anniversary since their last Olympics.

None of that had anything to do with the games itself tho and the opening ceremony for Athens was amazing
