This song, like virtually all of Sucker, is incredibly basic. It's not bad (ie: I wouldn't change the radio station if it came on), but neither is it good (ie: I wouldn't ever download it). And it's completely forgettable.
I thought Rita would make me like this remix, at the very least, but nope.

Just because it's fun and catchy doesn't make it basic. For a pop album Sucker is pretty varied and fresh actually.
The production is too noisy for Rita's vocals. Charli's suit this song because her production is generally quite noisy and her delivery makes her stand out, Rita generally has a sleeker less noisy production. It'll get Charli a hit, but I think a softer sounding song would have worked better for these two to duet but with the lyrical content seemingly about friendship it sort of works.
I don't know any of Adam's work but I went to the other guy's web page (Dan Curwin) and he has worked with Charli before on the You and Superlove video, doing some photoshoot on set i guess.

I shouldn't have even bothered with this. Rita Ora is literally the plague.
How can any of you even say it isn't different? Rita's voice does not mix well with the production at all, versus Charli's raw vocals on the original. It's like her fun, rebellious rawness versus Rita sounding like someone's well-kept Grandmother. The adlibs are a mess. Them letting Rita ruin the all night long part. She's such a buzzkill.

Exactly how I felt about Rita's verse. Just didn't know how to put it into words that the way she sang it was "too pretty" without sounding incomprehensible
