Lady GaGa had never heard of Girls Aloud before the Brit Awards.

According to The Sun, the Just Dance singer was overheard at the awards bash asking her entourage: "Who are these people?"

Girls Aloud scooped a Best Single Brit for The Promise and performed the number on the night in sequinned burlesque outfits with a troop of male dancers in white top hats and tails.

But Lady GaGa caused one of the biggest backstage stirs of the night when she arrived with the biggest crew of any guests.

The eccentric singer had a total of 16 minders, assistants and managers crammed into her dressing room, all of whom had to have a rota just to spend time with her.

A backstage source said: "People had to go in four at a time so as not to cramp her style. Then she'd swap them over with others who were hanging outside. It was hilarious."

Oh lord, how convenient. Her and Christina have even more in common than we originally thought.
