I received Natalia's and Taylor's lists and submissions for CALMAs from Cara, Selena, Natalia, Ariana, Taylor, Justin and Cher. Also, I might have to postpone CALMAs, because it's been a long week for me and I couldn't get anything ready, plus I want to watch Eurovision on the day of the awards so I don't want to be bothered by anything, I'll just post the charts and watch it. I hope you all aren't mad.

Christina Aguilera covers TIME magazine
Inside this week's edition of TIME magazine, we interview Christina Aguilera who is also featured on our front cover. She told us exclusive details about her love life as she preps the release of her 8th studio album - Truth Pill - which is available in stores now! The mother of two will also spill on how it was like working with her eclectic labelmate Björk as the release of their duet together, Chrysalis, is set to tear up the charts this week. You wouldn't want to miss a thing inside this week's special issue of TIME magazine with none other than the voice of our generation; Miss Aguilera.

This is just a sneak peak of the full-length interview we did with Christina (buy your own copy today for a chance to read even more about your favourite blue-eyed soul singler):
T: So, Christina, what was it like working with your new friend Björk? Was it all just a mutual get-together or...?
X: Well, Björk and I have only known each other for about a year but we've always expressed a willingness to want to do something musically with each other instead. That's how Chrysalis came up, mid-conversation. The concept of Chrysalis had been dabbling in my mind for months now. It wasn't until Björk's extensive artistry and creativity that I was able to unleash Chrysalis and ultimately bring it to life through her help and forward-thinking knowledge. I would consider her to be a great friend and just a wonderful person to be around. She's a fascination specimen of our time. In fact, our kids have been on many playdates together so we're "regular" like that. Haha!
T: It's lovely seeing your friendship flourish and blossom in such a way especially with the industry being so adamant of pitting two strong females against each other. When should we be expecting the music video for Chrysalis to be released?
X: Um, you guys will definitely be able to watch Chrysalis' music video by the end of this week although no specific date has been settled on yet. But definitely be on the lookout at midnight sometime this week! That's when this stuff usually drops. I'm real excited to see how the music video for Chrysalis will be interpreted since it's so complex and thematically-driven. Björk and I worked with the marvellous Floria Sigismondi who we have both worked with before doing this project together on separate occasions. Floria is one of my favourite people to just flow with, y'know? She's a definite visionary and to just be in her presence is something that should be considered honourable. The creative process for the music video itself spanned for an entire fortnight before we decided on more trivial things, such as what to wear and whether our butts look big in that pencil skirt. Those kind of things. But yeah, it was a pleasure to do what we love best and that's creating something we would be proud of a decade from now. It's the circle of life, y'know?

Yes, that's fine, you still have 24 hours to complete your promo and send in your lists. I'm not rushing you all, since I know we all probably had a long ass week. I had. Anyways, the deadline is Friday 12PM EST, and you can send in your promo lists by Friday 4PM EST because I want to have more time to calculate the charts this time, since I really need to pay attention to everything and read and analyze every article because it looks like it will be a close fight on the album charts as well as single charts and I don't want to make any mistakes.

Christina performs Chrysalis on America's Got Talent

Last night, Christina Aguilera performed her second single - Chrysalis - with Björk. The song is featured on Aguilera's 8th studio album release - Truth Pill. This is the second time Christina has appeared on America's Got Talent while it was Björk's first. Back in 2006, Christina briefly went there to promote her DJ Premier-produced LP Back To Basics. They were glad to have both Christina and Björk perform on the show. It took three days for everything to be set up due to multiple sound checks and dress rehearsals preceding the actual live show. Yes, the performance was all live! Christina and Björk have been performing together this entire week which is extremely fitting since both of their eras coincide pretty nicely with each other. This is probably down to the clever management done by their respective teams under the revered record label Catalyst Fall Records which Aguilera has been a veteran of, Björk was only signed a few months ago for an extensive record deal due to budgeting conflicts with her previous indie label.
In the actual performance, Christina and Björk showcased a ritual of sorts with Christina dressing up in some sort of witchdoctor's outfit and a fully-embezzled white lace headdress which made her ocean-blue eyes pop out. Björk looked sickly (in a good way) with jet-black waves in her hair and feathers woven in to create an authentic look. Logs were thrown around on stage as they held hands and even played ring-a-ring-a-roses while singing their fresh off the charts hit - Chrysalis, produced by the undiscovered beatmaker Arca who has ties with Paul Epworth. In fact, Paul Epworth is also the executive producer of Christina's album - Truth Pill - so you can see how everything matches up almost perfectly. The performance was a very ambitious depiction of what actually used to happen back in the 50s where those who were hindered by various disabilities were often objectified and cast aside through forms of abuse and even torturous situations at times. Björk played a crazed lady on the brink of the death who was serenaded by Christina, someone taking advantage of Björk's vulnerable mind. But of course, in Björk's eyes, she sees Christina as an angel. Her angel. Her saviour. This concept is deeply rooted and riddled throughout the song and is said to be a complex translation of what the music video will be. The odd couple sang to each other in an almost taunting way as they showcased a "push and pull" relationship between the predator and the prey. Christina and Björk in this case.
Christina has actually been impersonated numerous times on America's Got Talent before and her songs are typically in frequent use for aspiring singers to belt out and really show off their pipes. Or in Christina's words, their chops! Unfortunately, Björk hasn't quite seen the same impact compared to Christina although we do hope that this duet - Chrysalis - that they have together will finally raise Björk's profile especially of that in the US where she's relatively unknown.

Xtina sits down with 102.7 KIIS-FM LA
This morning, the voice of our generation (otherwise known as Christina Aguilera) decided to sit down and chat with us about her latest LP - Truth Pill - here at 102.7 KIIS-FM LA. By the way, if you missed the initial broadcast this morning, a transcript and the audio will be available on our official website so please do check that out. This marks the second time Christina has greeted us with such an earthy smile. She talked about what concept she had in mind for her experimental record - Truth Pill - and whether Björk would ever consider going mainstream just for a single or two. It was pleasantly nice to hear such refreshing comments on the industry since we usually get the same blasé **** and that just doesn't sit well with our big-boned heads. Christina was extremely straightforward but never skipped a beat. She's just how we like them. We hope you enjoyed our meeting with Christina as she assured us that she'll be back once her next era commences...whenever that may be...if you catch our drift, wink wink!
As soon as Christina walked into our puny little radio station, our hearts jumped as she welcomed us with a stunning smile and a smouldering walk that could send A&E into jeopardy. People really are too harsh on Miss Christina Aguilera. From where I was sitting, she looked ****ing tight. But, I digress. It all went on smoothly until Christina's publicist told us to "wrap it up" which essentially means "you ****ed up big time". In response to that, however, Christina actually had a few words with her and she was back like nothing had ever happened. What we noticed which was extremely endearing was how in charge Christina was of her career. Yes, she might have a whole team behind her but you can tell that this is all Christina Aguilera and not a manufactured puppet who's told what to do and what not to do by her controlling record label.
She did spill a few beans on whether Björk would ever consider going mainstream (even just for a single or two) and she basically answered with an on-the surface answer that Bjork does whatever she feels is necessary. If going mainstream is a part of what she has in mind, then she does that. There's no formula when it comes to Christina's labelmate Björk either. We actually spun their Arca-produced duet as soon as it was released to the masses. Chrysalis; an infectious folk song that will drive you crazy (in a good way) for days on end. Be sure to listen out for Chrysalis every hour on our radio station. It's an incredible record and one that's expected to do respectably well on the charts. If not then it's still an incredible record, right? I'm sure you all agree! We also have exclusive details on what track Christina is thinking of making the third single off of her 8th studio album - Truth Pill - and, no, it's not one of them interludes. Think again! We've been obliged not to tell but here's a hint: poisoned pearls.

Christina drops music video for second single, Chrysalis
'Two swans in a lake, gliding away
They drown in its shallow waters
The same way, the same day
Two swans kiss in a bloody lake
But they keep dancing, dancing in their wake'

At midnight, Christina Aguilera released her highly-anticipated music video for her second single - Chrysalis - which is a duet with renowned Icelandic musician Bjork and is produced by FKA Twigs' friend Arca. The music video has been teased since the start of this week and was preceeded by the groundbreaking origami-themed lyric video, also for Chrysalis. Filming started over three weeks ago in the Lake District where Christina and Bjork spent most of their time there during the holiday season. They even camped out one night but that's a totally different story to tell! Floria Sigismondi; known for her "out there" style directed this music video with the extensive helping hands from both Christina and Bjork. The three discussed ideas over some coffee and the entire music video was shot in a total of three days. The budget for this music video was substantially costly although nothing short of a regular mini-movie. In actual fact, it is kind of like a mini-movie. The concept for the music video has been kept tightly under wraps and is something that has never done before. Exclusive screenings where shown at Bjork's exhibition in the Museum of Modern Art in New York where film critics praised the amount of advanced technology and stylist choices incorporated in the music video for Chrysalis.
In the music video, Christina is shown as being a swan who glides away in the lake of a secluded woman (played by Bjork). She feeds this vacant swan every day with the strands of her messy hair. The camera switches from Bjork's perspective and Christina's perspective (as the coddled swan) which showcases how different they view each other and the puzzling situation. One day, the swan decides to grapple Bjork with its neck after having acquired a taste for human hair. Bjork's hair. Bjork willingly plunges into the lake as shots are spliced in with the lake being frozen and covered with a sheet of thinly veiled blood and other shots of a peaceful setting where the swan is followed by baby swans. Bjork then comes up to the surface but as a swan herself. The two swans (played by Christina and Bjork) interlock their necks and practically strangle each other to death through unwarranted love. The camera then zooms out to show a bare-faced Christina wiping her tears which represent the lake filled with the swans' blood. In the music video, Christina and Bjork are actually swans. This was done through CGI but with more advanced techniques. It's also a reference to Bjork's infamous swan dress which she wore to the 73rd Academy Awards back in 2001.
The lyric video for Chrysalis has already accumulated quite a lot of views and the official music video is bound to exceed those expectations. Christina's social media profile (especially in terms of streaming) have been increasing ever-rapidly through recent years. She's expected to be awarded by VEVO once another video of hers reaches past the 100 million mark which represents how many people have watched it in total.

Cher covers The Vogue.

This week the new Edition of the vogue magazine was shipped to stores and on covers there it is who else but the diva Cher Lloyd. In this new Edition of magazine Cher speaks about her life, about her past, and of course about her album “Forbidden Story” which is in stores now. The young diva also spoke about her collaborations with Cassie, Ciara and more. You would want to know all the juicy details behind Cher’s life so if you do, go and buy yourself a copy, it’s a great and fun read, also Cher looks stunning on the cover.
This isn’t the full interview, just a small part of it, so if you want to read the full juicy, and interesting story, you better go and buy yourself a copy, because it’s worth it.
V: Cher, you have been sort of slaying these past couple of weeks, how does it feel doing what you love again?
C: It’s great, I always had a dream to be a successful like singer Cher, cause you know my mom called me that because of course, and I have always dreamed of moment like this, when I finally break free, and show everybody what I’m made of, it was a hard process, I went through a lot was pushed around, not accepted in school, and was just dealing with struggles all my life, and to finally be something, something that creates and shares their creativity with the whole world is just warming my heart, never gave up and I never will, my dreams are just coming true one by one, and I am not stopping.
V: Your life has been pretty interesting from downfall and now rising like a phoenix, how all of that happened, care to explain.
C: That is the biggest story of my life, I have always tried to learn from others, so at first I avoided labels that mistreat artists, but then I met L.A Reid, the man behind EPIC records, he promised so much, he said we’ll work hard and will make you a star, so I leaped at the chance, cause he started careers of such people like Usher, P!nk so I thought why not me. At first everything was great want u back was promoted and did well, album did kinda well, but after that the mess began, they released my old track with ur love as single, and my downfall began, no one was for me as a princess, that they made me in with ur love, I was always a rebel, bath mouthed chick, but they turned me into fairy princess, that sucked. All he ever said was it’s all part of the plan, so I waited recorded music and everything, months, years went by no answer from him, my record delayed, and might never see day of the light ever, so I started posting stuff online, and finally he did release it after I wish tanked they wanted to scrap it, but I just couldn’t let them, i stood up and they finally released it, and my deal with them was off, I then discovered a new label Neptune records, and my dreams were again restored. (...)
So yeah, this is just a rough piece of interview, if you want more, buy the magazine now.

Xtina partners up with Nike

Nike officials today have revealed that they are in talks with Christina Aguilera to form a partnership of some measures. This piece of news came after the release of Chrysalis' music video which serves as the second single for Aguilera's 8th studio album - Truth Pill - by tweeting the following: "We are so amazed by the swans in @xtina's music video for #Chrysalis. If you want to glide like them, order your pair of shoes today!" This came as a surprise to many since it literally came out of the blue. It even shocked Christina somewhat as she tweeted in response to Nike: "Thank you! I'm so pleased to finally share this music video with you guys. XoXtina", which really didn't say much at all about the partnership but did confirm that they at least have had ties with each other. Having said that, Christina's management team later on released a statement basically putting these allegations to rest: "Yes, Christina will be endorsing Nike from now on and beyond. We hope you continue to support Christina in whatever she feels is necessary to do and also support our friends at Nike who manufacture the best footwear (amongst other products) out there. Thank you." Many claim that Christina is becoming a fitness freak after having given birth to her daughter; Summer Rain Rutler. However, sources close to Christina have dismissed these diabolical exaggerations that are further from the truth than needs be.
A commercial with Christina is expected to be filmed over the course of this month. There's no word yet as to whether Christina will be endorsing a new, fresh line of products or otherwise stated. The commercial will, however, feature at least two of the tracks from Truth Pill which is the title of Christina's 8th studio album. If you don't know already, Truth Pill has now been released and is doing respectably well on the charts. Christina has not expressed her adoration for Nike before this deal arose but it's not like she ha had the opportunity to talk about such a thing.
Throughout her entire career, Christina has been criticised for her weight. She's been yo-yo dieting ever since she was brought into the public eye and it's only been very recently that her weight has stabilised. From very early on, she was criticised for apparently being "anorexic" which was mainly due to her hectic schedules as a rampant teenage popstar. Nowadays, Christina is the brunt of many fat jokes although she usually has the last laugh after proving everyone wrong with her current weight loss. This partnership with Nike was probably to emphasise her reputation and there's a possibility of re-branding herself in the process as well. We hope to continue to support Christina in whatever she decides to do next. Who knows? We might see her on billboards everywhere by the end of this month. This business relationship with Nike will surely up her game in the industry and make herself known + spread awareness that she's back and better than ever.

Becky G on BBC Live Longue
Becky G, often referred to by Becky Gsus, visited the BBC Live Lounge to perform her latest single, Cashmere Bedsheets, as well as reveal plans for future projects.
Fearne: Hello everyone! Today we have a rising star from across the seas in the live lounge, Mrs. Becky G! Before we start off I'd just like to tell you, Becky, that I really love your new album!
Becky: Thank you Fearne! Most of it is old material, and its not really where I see myself sonically right now, but thank you for the kind words.
Fearne: Your latest single, Cashmere Bedsheets, has been spinning like crazy on this side of the sea! How did you make the song?
Becky: I wrote the song not knowing it would be mine, and usually I save my best songs for myself but I didn't save this one for myself. Another pop girl actually was set to release this track but ended up not being able to because of personal things going on in her life. They had all the promo lined up, and it'd be a waste of money to just cut it all, so they gave me the song and that's how it was released.
Fearne: Really! Well that's very interesting. You are a very good song writer Becky, you can obviously make a lot of hits as you've proven throughout your career.
Becky: Thank you Fearne. You are honestly so nice. Thank you for all the compliments haha.
Fearne: Before you sing I have one last question... when can we expect new material from you?
Becky: Sometime in the next few weeks! Not a song for my next album, but it's something people will love. Then after that I have album 3's main single sometime in February.
Fearne: Very exciting! Well, lets get on with the live lounge! What will you be singing first, Becky?
Becky: Well, this is Becky G and I'll be single my new single Cashmere Bedsheets.
Becky performed a slower version of Cashmere Bedsheets, with a piano and acoustic guitar backing her. At the second chorus of the song, Becky did vocal runs while the piano hit a single key over and over again. After the vocal runs Becky wiped a tear from her eye and sang the rest of the song. After Becky finished, Fearne clapped for Becky.
The radio show took a short break, but when it came back Becky introduced her next performance.
Becky: I'm Becky G and this next song is a cover of Taylor Swift's "Style".
Becky sang the song with a backing acapella group. The cover had a jam session feel to it, which is definitely a different vibe from the original version.
Videos of the performances were uploaded to BBC Radio's youtube, where they gained a heavy frontload of day one views. The cover of Style gained almost 2 million views in it's first day, while Becky's own song received nearly 1 million views.

Christina performs on VH1 Storytellers

Yesterday evening, the televised broadcast of Christina Aguilera's VH1 Storytellers special was shown on VH1 (like always) and attracted a lot of viewership. The program aims to allows viewers to be up close and personal with their favourite musicians as they perform their music and tell various stories to accompany said music. This time it was Christina's turn! In fact, she has done VH1 Storytellers twice before with her first experience being extremely emotional. She performed I'm OK from her Stripped record back in 2009 when she was promoting Bionic. The song is about how abusive Christina's father was to his family. It was the first time Christina has performed I'm OK and probably the last due to how raw it is. This time, however, Christina performed all-new material (just like at Coachella 2015) from her 8th studio album - Truth Pill. She's currently promoting her second single - Chrysalis - which is a duet with her new friend Björk who was signed onto the same label as Christina months ago under Catalyst Fall Records. Björk's era is set to gain traction by next week with her very own album release. It's also been said that Björk will have a VH1 Storytellers special of her own although the date for it has not yet been confirmed. On a sidenote, Christina's VH1 Storytellers special was the first of the new season and is set to raise the bar for future musicians who want to come on the long-running staple show too.
SETLIST
1. Truth Pill
2. Karmasutra
3. Waves
4. Chrysalis (with Björk)
5. Amethyst Bleach
6. Grandfather Clock
7. Sour Grapes
The setlist featured both singles from Truth Pill, thus far, and also included 5 other tracks that were thrown into the mix as well. With this setlist, Christina was aiming to show the different sides (or colours) of Truth Pill in order for the general public to really grasp a sense of what she's trying to do with this record. It;s very experimental so many people might not get it first and foremost so it's always great to test the waters before hand, especially when you have an array of wonderful tracks to choose from for the "make or break" third single. Nevertheless, Amethyst Bleach is definitely leading the pack as of now ever since Christina's controversial performance at Coachella 2015. There weren't much transitions between each song as Christina kept it very lowkey and understated instead of having a full-on high budget production like her other performances throughout this era. This was a refreshing step forward for Christina since we're typically used to her having all these amazing theatrics and gimmicks that are really susceptible in falling short of backfiring most of the time. Having said that, Miss Christina Aguilera always manages to find a way to somehow pull it all of. We have no doubts about that one!
The most likely highlight of Christina's set was the introspective and forlorn Paul Epworth-produced track; Grandfather Clock. Despite it's telling name, the song isn't about grandfathers or clocks but more of an analogy of knowing that death is the only thing that awaits you. Time plays an extremely significant part during this song and Christina is almost heard crumbling like sand through an hourglass. It was a true spectacle and a testament to her ability to emote effectively through a song that could be overlooked by many.

Cher Lloyd performs on BBC awards. With special guest Cassie.

Today, Cher Lloyd graced the bbc awards with her surprise attendance, and even a prepared performance of mix of songs from her new album “forbidden story” Cher showed up on red carpet looking flaw-free she was wearing a hot black dress with spikes, apparently it was made by dolce & gabanna, she walked like a queen, paprazzi’s were shouting Cher, look her baby, look her, she got even more attention than 1 direction, which is a good because that shows how popular she is, and that 5 twinks are not match for her, she continued walking, then reporter caught her asked a few questions, and she kindly answered.
R: Cher, will you perform tonight, everyone is dying to know.
C: Of course, I will, I will give my best performance yet, wait & see, hunnies, I gotta run now, because I’ll be late.
She ran of with ha high heels to get ready for performance maybe of the night, who knows, Cher is always full of surprises and interesting idea, who knows what she will pull out this time, she was announced by Ke$ha, and started coming on stage, loads of claps are heard, performance starts.
A huge fire bomb shoots in the air, mixed sounds are being heard, remixed version of dirty night starts playing, a clip in led screen shows all sort of different flashy background ,loads of lights appears, neon and more, all stage is a like a light show, it’s so bright. Suddenly we see a silhouette of person standing, cause it’s hard to see anything with those lights, all the lights disappear, smoke like in Drunk In Love appears, Cher starts singing her song , she walks down the stairs wearing golden shoes, and hot black spiky dress, with some ripped part, she looks like da bomb. Cher gets in the center of the stage, pushes the button, from the floor loads of dancers rise to the top, they all start doing hard choreo, and Cher is serving them vocals, dirty night, dirty night, woohoo, when she says woohoo, loads of flashes, and fires appear, Cher gets on floor, hits the floor with hands, she then lays on the floor, everything gets dark, music disappears, rags another song start playing, Cher start rapping, and walking on the stage like a true rap queen, serving better vocals than iggy and communicating with public through song words, she feels every word, and just pours her heart out, her rapping voice is just stunning. She walks out, Cassie appears they sing “ruin my life” a song about bad labels, they both put a lot of emotion, they communicate so well, cassie is wearing a hot black outfit, and singing like a true queen would, both girls are giving audience a time of their life, everyone is enjoying it, and having a blast. The last chorus comes and cassie with cher both finish it with crazy dance routine, the performance ends with flashes and fires. (applause, performance ends, and Cher receives a standing ovation for her performance of mix songs)
