1. I dont know why its necessary for iggy to have to "acknowledge" her privilege. She acknowledges that she's doing black music so she isnt stealing anything. And please stop with this privilege ****. She cant be proud that she finally made it after all those flop singles and not being able to get record until 10 years after looking for one? (she started going to see labels at 14). Do I have to acknowledge the fact that Im able to go to college because I come from money. Do I have to acknowledge the fact that because I have a lighter skin tone than most Black Hispanics that I have it easier?

3. So which is it? you guys say she isnt a rapper, she's a popstar so by that definition she isnt even involved with black culture. Iggy alrady said that she doesnt care what you label her music. I think of her as a rapper who done pop music. Its not her fault if music publications treat her as though she's hip hop. You guys should attack them not her.

4. We've all said pretty ignorant and ****ed up things before and it wouldnt be fair if people held it against us all the time and keep bringing it up after we've apologized for it. I had a friend who told a joke about latinos that could easily be taken offensively and when I told them this, they apologized and said they were trying to be clever and they realized their mistake. It would be wrong for me to keep holding that over their head after they made an effort to make amends.

5. Fancy wouldve been a hit by black artist because the song is pop. It wouldve also got played on pop radio and not been restricted to urban. All of B.o.B's singles got massive airplay on top40 because they were pop despite him being black. Now if you want to make a non pop/crossover hip hop single then expect it to be only played on certain formats. Even Eminem said in Rap God that he gets criticized for making pop songs even though he considers it a combination of hip hop and pop. Why do you think he combines the two? So his single can be played on top40.

How would you feel if someone told you the only reason youre successful is because youre white. That diminishes everything you've done thus far to get where you are. And lastly you people say that there are black artist that dont get the success they deserve. Well in a country of white people who prefer pop music, if youre doing some other genre, do you really hope to be huge when majority of the GP dont listen to the genre of music your doing. Whats the excuse for people doing post-hardcore rock that dont get the attention of big sells or people doing folk, or heavy metal, or EDM that dont get the success or big sells. Yes, race is a huge problem in the world. But if youre going to consistently use it as a goddamn crutch and a reason to make other people feel like **** then it becomes your problem exclusively. Iggy may have said some ignorant ****, but it doesnt warrant the amount hate she gets. And you all can lie to yourselves and say "Its because her music is average and she has no talent" but 500,000 ****ing people still bought 2 chainz frist album. Rae Sremmurd is #2 on itunes. But yet those mediocre rappers dont get any hate. Your hatred for iggy is based on the fact that she is white with some other exaggerated **** piled on top. Hating white people in a ****ing white country is only going to increase the ****ing problem y'all are solved.

I think you're confusing Iggy with someone else. She has apologized SEVERAL times but as far as I know those tweets y'all keep pulling are from years ago as well as the slave line. My issue is not even with her doing pop or hip-hop. That would be very hypocritical seeing as I stan for the crossover queens/king Nicki, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Drake.

I really don't get the "white" excuse. Everyone loves and respects Eminem for the most part. No one really has a problem with his acclaim and sales. That's because he has actual talent and can rap unlike this woman in the OP.
