Okay, after today's unfortunate events in France, I was doing research on google about many other familiar events that have been made due to religion? I know this is more focused on the muslim religion but other religions also come across as sexist and homophobic e.t.c
I wanted to ask Atrl do you think Religion breeds hate? If yes how come? If no how come?
its human nature for people to factionalize themselves and try to find a 'group' of people they have things in common with. religion definitely divides us, which breeds animosity between people that are part of 'different' groups, but if it wasnt religion it would be something else.
I read something months ago about Islam being a younger religion than Christianity and especially Judaism so it hasn't gone through the same, slow-paced evolution the other two have, but eventually Islam will reach the same, less-conservative approach to things like homosexuality, multiculturalism and women's clothing as Christians now do. If you take Turkey as the most socially liberal Muslim majority country then they still have a long way to go but slowly the Middle East is "catching up" in a social sense.
having said that, you still get some nut job Christians that view women the same way their medieval counterparts did. I think eventually humanity will outgrow religion but hate will still exist, we'll have just lost one of many excuses to hate.
anyway no it doesn't, the extremists do. This goes for every religion. Also the people that think that their religion is the only way and will do w/e it takes to prove it (i.e extremists but w/e)

With Religion comes fragmentation which can certainly lead to fear of one another or yes sadly hate
Not itself no but the extremists and the way they interpret it so it will indirectly breed hate
I just hope all the major religions will fade away and people will just have their own personal beliefs without having the need to have any srt of temple or anything, just people keeping their beliefs to themselves
