However, I do want to get rid of the 6 Plus when the new one comes out this year. It's great for videos but after that the size is just annoying.

No? They're still available from every carrier, silly it's a 5 in plastic and the hardware still runs iOS 8 perfectly smooth, and I can vouch for that because two family members of mine have it and they've never had a problem with it.

Apple releases new phones every year, we know this and are you saying you'd rather have a low budget 6c than a 6 Plus?
