Katy was never Queen of Pop, more like Temporary Queen of the Charts. But I think Katy will be back, it's unfair to put them up together like that at this point in time when Katy is inactive atm and Taylor is in the middle of her era.

Taylor is more successful than Katy but neither are ''The Queen of Pop''. That title still belongs to Madonna.

The real QUEENS are Madonna, Britney, Gaga and Beyoncé in that order (maybe Beyoncé then Gaga, not sure).

Taylor & Katy can co-exist but in terms of 'snatching' anything from Katy i'll have to stop you there, with Katy we always see her success as 'I hope this is going to be big' as she is one of those stars that we tally their numbers and accolades not just from a musical preference, but with people like Taylor they'll always be stand out artists in Music, someone who we don't even need to pay attention to because it's already big by default, wheras with Katy she's more exciting because it's like 'How big can this one get'.

Katy Perry was never a Queen of Pop. That belongs to Britney, Madonna, Beyonce etc. Legends worthy of the title.

But Taylor has eclipsed Katy that's for sure. The bigger album, undoubtedly the bigger tour, more weeks at #1 with ONE song this era (Blank Space) than Katy had with all of hers (Roar, Dark Horse). Time will tell, but I think she has been eclipsed.

Katy is bigger than Taylor. More famous, her songs are more known so despite the only thing taylor is good at (selling albums) everything else she does, besides maybe touring, is at par with other pop girls. When you think of Pop music Katy Perry is the biggest name out there. No one thinks of Taylor in that way... Which can be a good thing for her since she won't be tied to one demographic. Besides Singles and Cultural impact is more important to the GP than just selling a lot of albums. So Katy still has that

Not sure but I would never classify Taylor as a Queen of Pop. Its new to her and that label is kinda better suited to legends that had careers and dominated the Pop charts for more then a year.
