the mariah shade: #771... not even her christmas classic is mentioned or made any lists.. aparently her whole career was a flop then? darn, selling 220m records and still be the biggest flop the world has ever seen. Only Mimz can achieve that. maybe she shud take BB's offer and finally work with Pitbull.. apperently that's the one collaboration critics want from her.
Mariah's music has never been acclaimed. Just because she has a popular classic doesn't mean she is respected by serious music critics. She just doesn't make the type of music that garners critical praise.

Only overrated ones in the portion posted in the OP is Elvis & Nirvana, maybe Radiohead too to a certain degree. Marvin Gaye should be a lot higher too.

True for the most part but Daydream isn't even listed in her 'bubbling under' portion and that was very acclaimed by critics, more so than Butterfly and Emancipation. It's odd not to see it there.
it's like the bible for all stans to check if their fave has been recognized as a talented REAL musician.
The lists Henrik Franzon uses are rather subjective, so I don't think his lists have the final saying let alone can be considered to be "the Bible". Naturally there is no such thing as an objective and definitive ranking of musical quality or musicianship.
But if you use that list to consider Madonna not only the most-acclaimed female artist but also the most talented and realest female musician then I am happy for you that this private website exists.
OMG the comments here I'm a pop sucker myself but would you rather really see the likes of Katy, Ke$ha, Nicki, Iggy etc there? Don't get me wrong I love their songs but that is not what counts as quality music, which critics praise so the list is really understandable.
