She has only released two and a half singles since the most recent greatest hits release ( The Essential Britney Spears). It would make absolutely no sense to release a new greatest hits album when the only new tracks they could add are Ooh La La, Work Bitch, and Perfume. If they don't want to do a full album they can do an EP or an album of unreleased tracks with a handful of new songs. I have a feeling we are getting a full album this year though. They need something to push the Vegas shows and a new album that receives at least some promotion will generate buzz and give them new material to change up the show a bit. Releasing a greatest hits with one or two new songs would do little to nothing to help push the show.

Yes. She's only had 3 - 4 hits since her last one... what's the point? The Singles Collection came way too early (5 years after her first GH) and this one would be 6 years after TSC. Totally pointless.

Her radio plays here are terrible along with how often she charts on iTunes. From that I'd assume her streaming here isn't strong either

Definitely gonna be certified sometime in February. It'd be cool if it was certified the same day it was released (February 17th).

RCA is a good label though. They're pretty understanding with the no promo thing also. Look what they let Sia write into her contract, for example.
If Britney doesn't want to promote, then I doubt they'll make her.

Stans still blaming it on the label?
The label has little to do with the promotion of the album. It's Britney and her team that need to get it together.

I remember HIAM was the most exciting beginning for an era by her imo.

Yes because she needs to wait until 2018 20 years after her first single and have a farewell WW GH tour in 2019 20 years after her first album.
We need album 9...yes I'm acknowledging Britney Jean's existence
Albums 1-4 (99-03)
GH 04 albums 1-4
BITM 05
BO 07
Circus 08
GH2 09 albums 5-7
FF 11
BJ 13
Album 9 2015
Album 10 2017
GH3 2018 albums 8-10
Album 11 2020
Album 12 (her last) 2021
Last Vegas Residency 2021-2024
GH4 11-12 and the true GH of her career so no boys or radar.

I know. People really think her label and team DON'T want her to promote.
Britney doesn't want to promote but I think that was because she had hits.
She LUCKED out and got Work btch which is iconic but the flop hopefully shook her up a bit

I wish the Iggy collab wasn't the lead, and that the lead would be Everytime 2.0. An amazing ballad with an iconic video, and the song she writes herself which will get her some acclaim and respect
