Sports: Ohio State Wins National Championship!

In the FIRST College Football Playoffs EVER, #4 Ohio State Buckeyes will face off against the #2 Oregon Ducks for the National Championship! Oregon was able to defeat #3 Florida State Seminoles in the Rose Bowl while the Ohio State Buckeyes were able to pull off an upset against #1 Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl.

Normally, there would be a computer that would determine the #1 & #2 college football teams and they would face off for the championship. This year, the NCAA decided on a 4 team playoff.

Did your favorite team make the National Championship? Did your favorite team fall in the either Bowl game? Who are you rooting for in the National Championship?!?

Edit: Cardale Jones (the 3rd string QB for Ohio State) was 16/23 for 242 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT (1 rushing TD)
Marcus Mariota (the current Heisman trophy winner) was 24/37 for 333 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT

QB's aside, the REAL story was the AMAZING Ezekiel Elliott who ran for a National Championship RECORD of 246 yards for 4 TD's on 36 attempts (all 3 are records btw)!!!!

I'm an Ohio State fan and I am on cloud 9 right now! We are on our THIRD string QB and we were 9.5 point UNDERDOG and still pulled thru!

FSU kept it close until the avalanche

The Ducks are gonna be a VERY tough team for my Buckeyes to take on January 12th!

That match was hard to watch. receivers dropping catches, Cook fumbling the ball TWICE

Winston fumbled the ball for a TD (from an otherwise good qb game) and this is in the 2nd half! Oregon made them pay for each mistake.

The finals will be one to watch tho. That Oregon speed is crazier than I thought.

That one fumble looked like he just fell back and the ball fell out. Like, dude... you have ONE job: protect the ball when falling

Interesting fact: Oregon is 0-8 against Ohio State

I think for the FIRST College Playoff, having a #4 seed make the Championship is gonna be EXTREMELY memorable YEARS from now!

My favorite team is Auburn, and we lost four of our last five games. However, we have a top notch Defensive Coordinator, Will Muschamp, taking over our defense. My second favorite team is FSU (the team I was hoping would win it all), who was destroyed yesterday. And I went to LSU and they lost their game earlier in the week. Now I attend the University of South Florida, and USF's team is struggling to win games.

I do know the National Championship Game in January 2017 will be played right here in Tampa Bay, so I hope Auburn is in the game. If so, I will find some way to get a ticket. As for the two teams left, I will side with Oregon, because I hate Meyer as much as Saban. Saban is an a**hole, but does not pretend to be a nice guy. Meyer tries to pretend to be nice, when he is really just as big of an a**hole as Saban.

If the BCS was still in effect we would of had Bama against FSU in the National Title

. So glad we have playoffs now to determine the true champion. Been so tired of the SEC. Also, TCU should of gotten a chance to compete. Hope the committee adds at least two more schools in the playoffs in the future because these games were fun.

I really have a feeling they will!

I also think the committee will be a little more experienced & will start to get things right in the coming years when it comes to ranking the teams.

Still need an 8 team playoff. No TCU fan, but they deserved to be here.

I wish they could move to 8. Ratings are WAYYYYYY up, but they are on contract for 4 teams until 2025.

Mushamp really has to be a DC, he can run a defense but his offensive game has been seriously lacking, he can't be a head coach. The job he did with Florida

I was always a casual FSU fan but I had to turn it up a notch cuz the amount of hate the team has been getting for the past year has been a bit too much for some kids.

As far as the Championship game next week, I'm going with Ohio state cuz Cardale Jones, BALLED OUT against Bama. I just want to see how they will handle Oregon's system though.

OSU Vs. Bama was 15.2 (a record for college football)

Oregon Vs. FSU was 14.8
