I realize, but I think for most people the individuals most people become attracted to all tend to identify as one gender.

Like I understand if your sexual attractions don't fall on the male/female binary or if you're bisexual, but I guess I just don't get how someone can genuinely live a significant portion of their life genuinely thinking they're straight only to realize that, no, they're actually not attracted to women but men.

I had my first crush on a boy when I was 12 and my first crush on a girl when I was 17 but before then I was physically attracted to girls but like it was only a sexual thing and I didn't have a desire to actually have an emotional connection with a girl until that crush when I was 17.
