So far there has been 3 no.1's in 2009. Alexandra Burke(1week), Lady GaGa(3weeks) and Lily Allen(4weeks). Kelly Clarkson looks set to top the charts this week and perhaps for the next few weeks. Also, the last four weeks of the 2008 charts had women at the top spot. Does anyone know if this is a record? Flo Rida will probably break the streak, but right round won't be released until march 23rd

Low peaked at no.2, but it sold like a number 1(394,000). I think right round has a great shot at no.1, it's too early to tell though

I don't think Taylor will hit the top spot anymore... Love story's release date was march 2nd, they should have kept it at that and she would have been no.1. Kelly will block her this week and probably next, and then poker face will take over. Thus far, poker face is heading for number four and its airplay is not even in the top. Love story is no.10 on the airplay chart

It's always been like that. When I think of the UK, I think of FEMALE artists that have crossed over to the United States like Leona Lewis, The Spice Girls, Natasha Bedingfield, Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone, and Lily Allen. When I think of who rules their charts, I think of Madonna, Kylie Minogue, The Sugababes, and Girls Aloud...etc.
