having a relationship of any sort with someone on social media that isn't who they say they are, by using someone else pictures or living a totally different lifestyle than what they told you.
So basically hooking up with someone via jackd, tinder, grindr etc and when you meet, you realize they've been sending false pics.
ok, not false pics, never happened because I realize quickly if the pics are too good. But they usually send old pics or good/best pics, then when you meet it's like OMG that pics you took was really good... and they look awful
Nope, but I catfished one guy from my school who stole my phone and took pictures of a nude photo of me I had on my phone and started showing a couple of my classmates. I just googled random naked girl selfies and kept sending them to his snapchat using a fake account till he started sending his nudes. (For those who don't know, you can save snapchats without the other person knowing ) Then I blackmailed him.

was exchanging emails (and a few pics ) with some guy while at uni. we got along well and i decided to meet him and got the train to where he lived. turned up to his house and i found out it was my uncle all along
i got catfished by a friend lol! shes a girl she didnt know im gay so we we were friends for like 3 years and then i randomly get convos from this hot chick and i chat with her only to have a trophy girl friend/beard lol slowly i started noticing her writting style reminded me of my friend...then i wanted to use mic with her and she didnt want to and I just knew so i spoke about it to my friend the next day i wasl ike "ya this hot girl kept messaging me..but i know she is fake and i know its someone close who did it..but its funny" so then she started bursting in tears and then i comforted her, hugged her and made it seem like it was a funny joke? (like wtf I can be too passive and kind) then she started explaining how she likes me and then i rejected her.
