Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence


Every time she releases something, I think I'm going to like it. I was kinda okay with West Coast! But listening to the album was such a chore. Like listening to all Lana releases. There's too much and not enough going on, and once you hit track 6-7 you're DONE. It all sounds the same after that. Not in a fun way, but in a mind numbing, stupid way. It's still full of the same cliches of her first album, yet its somehow even more overproduced, so it's even more insufferable to listen to. Yeah, if you didn't like Born to Die DON'T listen to this garbage.

Sia - 1000 Forms of Fear


I hated Lana's album, but nowhere NEAR as much as I hated this little **** over here. Chandelier was sorta an acceptable track, even without any interesting melody or unique production ideas (the hook is basically just one scream, how exciting). The rest of the album, however, has even MORE screaming than Chandelier. It literally sounds like a parody of Jessie J, but it's NOT, and at this point I would even prefer Jessie J screaming on Who You Are to Sia. The production is bad too, it's all extremely loud drums that drown everything out with blaring synths that sound like all the hits of 2013 combined. What the hell, Sia? What is this nonsense? Also what's up with her enunciation??? WTF

Marianas Trench - "Pop 101"


Oh my goooooood, thank you (??) lovesong for posting this song in that other thread. This is AWFUL. Who the hell would want some leftover scene kids from 2006 telling them the cliches of modern Pop music? I get it, parody what you love, but like, if you really loved pop music - I would be able to tell. The biggest crime about this song is the smugness it carries as if they've discovered some huge secret.

John Legend - "All of Me"


FILTH!!! John Legend is known for creating mediocre Neo-Soul/Pop tunes for old white women to listen to, but this was on another level of garbage. Aside from the boringass same chord over and over (its arpeggiated though!!), we get lyrical gems like "even when I lose I'm winning," "you're the end and the beginning," and the WORST "your perfect imperfections."

Magic! - "Rude"


This little **** though, is by FAR the worst song of the year. First of all, who wants to listen to a bunch of white guys try to make "authentic" Reggae music? Didn't we learn our lesson with Red Red Wine?Oh, and then there's the lyrics. Apparently according to Magic! it's still okay to act like women are objects, hell, it's ROMANTIC to act like that. He goes out of his way to ask the father of his (presumed, but then maybe she's just some random girl he looked at once or twice) girlfriend for her hand in marriage. Like why? This isn't the 1800s! And then after the father says NO (probably because he ****ing had the audacity to ask him that anyway) he says "why you gotta be so rude?" It's just all very ****ing dumb. He then decides he's going to marry the girl anyway. SO WHAT'S THE ****ING POINT OF THIS SONG?

Rude is my least favorite song of the decade. I've only heard like 30 seconds of it though.
