Ed Sheeran actually makes good music, and previous generations were no better. For example, Limp Bizkit holds the highest first-week sales record for any rock act in history, *NSTINK was awful and managed to go platinum in a DAY, Destiny's Child's albums, (excluding The Writing on the Wall), were horrendous, and XTINCTION's albums then and now were all terrible.

Teens always had crap taste. And most of the Disney shows teens made popular back then are ****ing trash. Lizzie McGuire, now if that isn't the epitome of White-girl blandness, I don't know what it is.

The promo has not been minimal. In fact it's been very aggressive. The only drawback is that it's a boring jazz album so they couldn't perform on huge platforms like the VMAs, AMAs or SNL. But otherwise they promoted the **** out of it.
