Lemme educate the Lambily right now! Class is in session!
Charmbracelet's true trinity begins with Through The Rain, one of Mariah's most unique lead singles and a song that takes the listener on a journey that begins with sadness but ends with a triumphant and hopeful feeling. Through The Rain is an emotional journey that only Mariah is capable of creating. The slayage continues as Mimi again feels anguish but comes out on the other side on My Saving Grace, perhaps her most compelling gospel song. Charmbracelet's purpose was to introduce us to Mariah as a person and My Saving Grace certainly contributes to that. Not to mention her vocals and lyricism on the track are a match made in heaven. Also, DAT CLIMAX.
The trinity crescendos with The One, a catchy track that features an intro by Jermaine Dupri, it doesn't get much better than this.
Anybody who believes that any song on Charmbracelet that has a rap feature is part of any trinity besides the trinity of trash has questionable taste.
