It's not that I don't like Uganda, she's the one who introduced me to J-pop in the first place, but she just falls of so much compared to the other arists that can be found within the genre

Itano has a good face but her music is a little bit tiresome, I can see her churning out something good in the future. Koda was the pits, Ayumi was surprisingly not bad, E-Girls were the worst and Kyary wasn't bad either.

I forgot how much I enjoyed BoA's voice, especially in Masayume Chasing, but her other songs were lacking unfortunately

Well, Hotel, Kimi Omoi, & MONEY IN MY BAG are cute. NEVER GIVE IT UP is a generic pop/rock song. Idk about Dance In The Rain yet. But everything else is terrible.

Money in my Bag was ok. It was just too repetitive for my tastes after the second listen.

Hotel had the most potential but she had to ruin it with that disharmonious talking a few seconds in. I bet she feels so gangsta while she does it. MEGA cringe

Namie is wayyy too overrated in this forum. I watched Ayu's Next Level Tour on blu 2day and I've got to say her stage charisma is unbelievable. Her voice is still noise to my ears, but I'm strangely warming up to her slowly now. Never thought that this would ever happen tbh.

Love that tour! Her live shows are always a spectacle and so much fun to watch. I also recommend the Rock'n'Roll Circus Tour or Arena Tour 2006 ~(miss)understood~ (my top 2 favorites).

Koda is not overrated, is just that her music has gone downhill after JAPONESQUE.

Still, Dance in the dark is an amazing video + alright song, her tours have been as great as ever (just like ayu's) and she's still the best female performer in j-pop.

Ayumi, Namie and Kodi are amazing performers. It's just Koda is a nasally mess oftentimes and Ayumi's voice is shrill. Also the music is pretty much awful.

That one Kodi concert I watched was pretty amazing. can't remember which one

Erm I really don't understand how you can be called an amazing performer without putting up a single ****ing facial expresssion in a 2 hour live concert. I mean, that's quite the accomplishment, but it kinda misses the mark a bit.

My favorite Ayu songs right now are:

Fairyland
Daybreak
Brillante
Terminal
Bold & Delicious
her cover of Movin' On Without You

I really love the Utada cover album. I had very low expectations going into it because I heard some reviews from fans dragging it but I found myself enjoying most of the songs.

Ayu's cover is the best for me. She should re-release it or something.

About to get into the new E-girls album.
