Aubrey got "punched" (supposedly) by Cassie's sponsor because he managed to turn a soundcloud track into a legitimate hit and a Grammy-nominated song, while the other wouldn't have seen an iota of success with it. When industry legends are salty at your power you are doing something right. Plus the supposed event wasn't captured on video despite taking place at one of the most active nightclubs in Miami, in the age of vine/IG. Win, win, win.

I'm worried about his next album, though. There's a real stigma about listening to his music now ("oh, you be must really emotional") that's gotten more prominent than ever since the NWtS era. Especially among guys, who I imagine drive most of the sales in hip hop.

BUT, his music is almost universally acknowledged as good + his album releases are like mini events
