Christina Aguilera helps protect The Amazon
+ performs Waves with chanting techniques

This morning, Christina Aguilera set out to do something about the constant increase in the deterioration of The Amazon (incl. its river, rainforest and native tribes who prefer to remain primitive at all costs in order to protect their culture and livelihood). She's previously expressed her willingness to make a change in such a precious part of our world but this is the first time Christina has actually been proactive about the cause and, as a result, decided to trek in The Amazon for around two days in the hope of restoring some fundamental elements that have otherwise torn the nature-stricken "paradise" apart. This is the first time Aguilera has been involved in a project with such impact. She currently holds a lot of power to change how The Amazon is treated and also improve the lives of those who live there in solidarity.
The Amazon River has been reaped of its benefits ever since man could tell the time, however, that does not compare to how drastically we've destroyed the largest river in the world in recent years. Pollution is a significant issue that needs to be addressed and cracked down effectively. Christina is extremely passionate about doing something to prevent the fish population - who living in the waters of The Amazon - from dwindling even further that it already has. Yesterday, Christina and her crew started building a dam which could prevent the disastrous after-effects of the drought occurring there. The Amazon Rainforest is one of a kind, with deforestation rising, there's not much hope left for the vast acres of land. Christina aims to set up a protocol (if you will) to ensure that these big corporations won't abuse what Mother Nature has dictated for us. There might also be a campaign to re-plant and revert the effects of deforestation. The Amazon Tribes do not have contact with the outside world and not much is known as to how they thrive without the technological advances we've made ever since. Having said that, we can gauge how they conduct themselves from tribal communities in the past. It's sad that these primitive people are some of the earliest known settlers of our species.
In the middle of a secluded area in The Amazon Forest, Christina started singing her experimental power ballad Waves while using chanting techniques. She researched yodelling before going on the trek so was informed of how to properly chant and throat sing without damaging her vocal cords. The Amazon Tribes use chanting as a form of communication and a gateway to the boundaries put in place by their ancestors who took reign of everything by overlooking the hierarchy they created. It was a stripped-back and raw depiction of Christina's lead single. Her powerful chants seemed to be absorbed by the trees, however, the sound still travelled somewhat far for someone who isn't skilled or an expert in that field of singing.
Before the expedition in The Amazon, Christina Aguilera formed a respectable partnership with The Fishbowl Foundation Inc. They are an organisation who specialises in conserving water for those without easy access to it and help conserve the dwindling fish population that was mentioned earlier on in the article. The expedition was actually partly funded by TFF due to Aguilera's negotiations with them. Christina's participation in the restoration of The Amazon has drawn many potential donations from those who didn't even know about the full extent of what has happened there before she raised its awareness. This is great because we can now tackle the issues that The Amazon's mistreatment has created head-on without worrying about financial costs and whether it's all really worth it in the end.

Christina is extremely invested in her humanitarian efforts and philanthropy work. Back in 2009, she travelled all the way to Botswana to feed starving children and played games with them. Early on in her career, Christina expressed a desire to build schools in places where education doesn't really exist or have an importance compared to other countries who are more well-off in a sense. This project now has legs with Christina filing a permit to build at least three schools in suburban Sri Lanka. She aims to finalise the deal during springtime and work will officially start in Fall 2015. The project will be entirely overlooked by Christina. As a sidenote, Christina has already met with a few children who are going to be sectioned off into these schools the last time she visited Sri Lanka in 2005. It's something that has been on Christina's mind and the birth of her own children encouraged her willingness to introduce a stable education in parts of Sri Lanka even more.
Xtina's lead single, Waves is now available for PURCHASE.

Miley Cyrus: Glee

We’re only a day away from Glee’s season six premiere and details about the episode have just spread like wild fire on social media, indicting that it will be a Miley Cyrus tribute episode, yes you heard it right. A day ago, we only knew that the sixth installment of the show will consist of thirteen episodes, and that it will premiere on Saturday, January 2, 2015, with a two-hour special episode. Today, Ryan Murphy (the creator of the show) just revealed amazing, shocking information about the season premiere. Even though everything that went down for the show, like the season’s first day of filming at the first part of September, went unnoticed and everything was kept a secret, Ryan Murphy did announce that season six would be the show’s last, which have upset fans and made people more interested to see how the show would end. It was just revealed on a review from IMDB (an early review) that the show’s premiere is called, “Smiley Miley,” and would center around Miley Cyrus’ impact on pop culture and is basically a tribute to the star.
The first episode, titled as “Smiley Miley,” is directed and written by Ryan Murphy with addition writing by Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, which is the first time since season one did the triple work together on a pilot of the season, and is planned to air on January 2, 2015. It is said that they wrapped the shoot few days ago, and the singer won’t be a surprise guest. According to IMDB, the episode is mainly about the shows’ cast finding things to relate within Miley Cyrus’ career, using that as encouragement to perform outrageously on stage with no stage-fear at all. The cast will take turns to cover Miley’s hits, including her new single “D.U.I.,” which was released a few days ago. The covers are described as “Different versions of the original songs (except for We Can’t Stop), which can be a good or a bad thing to some people,” and “‘See You Again’ definitely stands out from the other covers.” The staff of IMDB gave the premiere nine out of ten, and mentioned “The stage is Miley’s cage, so we better rock it!,” as one of the quotes on the episode.
Ryan Murphy have said about the episode and why he chose to do a Miley Cyrus tribute, “I think it covers an essential part in pop culture, where people don’t realize the power or the impact someone have created just because they don’t take the artist seriously. Miley obviously has a career going for nearly ten years, she did things many establish artists couldn’t, she has the balls to do very outrageous things and I admire that about her. When you’re a performer and, or a singer, you’re always extremely nervous and scared once you’re about to get on stage, and even though Miley had that, she still rocked the stage and gave a very controversial performance like the VMA’s that could’ve obviously possibly gone horribly wrong and ended her career, instead she established herself as an iconic pop music artist at that same moment, and I think that sends a very positive message to the performers or viewers that will watch the episode to overcome your fears and do things you never thought you would do.”
Jerome Wetzel of IMDB gave the episode a positive review, saying that “it will surprise many people with the way they used Miley Cyrus as a tribute, it’s unexpected and it’s so good,” he also revealed one of his favorite moments, when the episode starts with the Glee club doing Wrecking Ball by the singer, for the second time (the first time was in it’s fifth season), by singing only in acapella and harmonizing, and Matthew Morrison’s character, Will Schuester, enters the room and interrupts them by saying that they should not sing songs by inappropriate artists that influence people in a negative way, and then Chris Colfer’s character, Kurt Hummel, complains and says “But Mister Will, this song will be seen as a great classic within ten years or so, so why would you criticize Wrecking Ball when you would be admiring it had it been released during the seventy’s,” and Mister Will Schuester replies, “It’s not the song, it’s the artist, they’re inappropriate for educational purposes,” before Kurt complains again and says, “So what? Miley is pushing the envelope the same way Elvis Presley, Madonna and Michael Jackson did decades ago and they’re is now viewed as legends,” before Mister Will Schuester is surprised and startled by the response. While they revealed that the glee club wasn’t trying to push mister Will Schuester to do Miley for the winter break ceremony, but he decided after being strangely convinced by Jane Lynch’s character, Sue Sylvester, to do Miley’s song We Can’t Stop as a trap to complain to the principle and end the Glee club.
The revealed songs are: “Wrecking Ball,” “We Can’t Stop,” “Party In The U.S.A.,” “See You Again,” and “D.U.I.” which are all included in the two-hour special premiere episode. It is said that Wrecking Ball’s version will be thirty seconds long in the episode, but over three minutes for the EP ‘Glee: Smiley Miley,’ and will be done by acapella only by the cast of Glee club which will ‘showcase the song’s true beauty.’ Darren Criss’s character, Blaine Devon Anderson, will be singing “Party In The U.S.A.” in the episode with similar setting of the original music video, but with a different element to the song, it was also said that he’ll say “and the Miley song is on” instead of Britney and Jay Z, although it is not revealed why or how the song is going to be sung in the episode. “See You Again” will be sung by Lea Michele’s character, Rachel Barba Berry, as a daydream (as a result of thinking about Miley a lot) during a late family meeting, and it is said that she’ll do it amazingly and with a style similar to her cover of “Oops! …I Did It Again” by Miley Cyrus during the fourth season. The Glee cast will actually perform “We Can’t Stop,” during the winter break ceremony, with different outfits from Miley’s past looks worn by the glee club (like the We Can’t Stop outfit, Wrecking Ball outfit etc). The final song, “D.U.I.” will be sung the cast of the show separately; it was said that Jane Lynch’s character, Sue Sylvester, will actually sing a tiny part of the song as a separate scene, which is the first time the character sung in the show. The ‘D.U.I.’ scenes were filmed weeks ago.
The EP, titled as ‘Glee: Smiley Miley,’ will be released tonight (roughly at 10:00 PM) on iTunes only as a digital purchase, and will include all five songs that are sung in the episode.
Miley said about the episode, “I’m honored that a big television show like Glee is deciding on covering my song and paying a tribute to my career, it’s surreal to even say that and I’m still not believing it until I see it, but it’s grateful about it and I’m a big fan of the show so I really can’t watch to see the episode and see what they do with my songs, if they’re going to do it better than me [laughs],” said the singer, “I think the reason behind Glee’s success is that there was nothing like that, a complete musical show covering known songs, and I think that what made it big, the music brought the audience and enjoyed watching a drama series with that unique touch in it.”
When asked why wasn’t Miley starred in it, Ryan Murphy said, “I don’t think it was needed and I don’t like to force things to happen since they will turn out uninspired and dry, I thought about it though and tried different storylines but it didn’t fit so that’s I think that’s the reason why, but if Miley wanted to guest on any episode she is very welcome to come to show.”
‘Smiley Miley’ will air on Saturday, at 9:00 PM (Western Time) and will be a two-hour long special premiere episode. The EP ‘Glee: Smiley Miley’ will be available for purchase tonight and Miley’s new single ‘D.U.I.’ & 'D.U.I. (feat. Dev)' is available for purchase now.

Justin Bieber's promotional stint in Canada continues. After visiting MuchMusic's Video Countdown he was able to go on Canada's Top Talk Show, 'Breakfast Time' and do an interview for his new single 'Memphis' & album 'The Collection & More'. Justin is a Canadian native, born in Canada and raised, only moving to United States once the record deal and album were in the making. Justin still hasn't forgotten his roots, and often says 'I always feel like true home at Canada'. With him spending the day in Canada, he's made sure to get comfy in old popular locations as well as do new things -- such as his debut spot on Breakfast Time. The announcement came yesterday night, where Breakfast Time tweeted that Justin Bieber would appear on their show in the morning as well as announced it the previous morning. Justin is one of the top-selling artists in Canada, with record spanning hits, and sales accomplishments broken left and right. His return to Canada was hyped up with momentum in Canada's press and newspapers. The return was a surprise, considering he overall didn't spend anytime in Canada during his last 2 eras 'Elite' and 'Crossing Paths'.
Breakfast Talk: He's a Canadian-born singer, THE top-selling artist of the decade worldwide, and is making a return back to his turf for the new album 'The Collection & More'. This morning, we have Justin Bieber -- here for a FIRST time, ready to talk about the new and upcoming adventures he has on his plate.
Justin Bieber: Thank you, nice intro. Man, y'all don't realize....I'm back on my HOMELAND. This is amazing -- this is huge, I'm so so excited. 'Cause like for the album, I've legit been all over the WORLD this week from UK, France, America, Canada, and Mexico is coming next. It's been so huge, but yeah I'm back. Let's have fun in the moment!
Breakfast Talk: We're happy to just have you here in the studio. We'd never expect it. We know you were on a very quick and tight schedule, we weren't notified you'd be able to do the show until like 3 days. They told us we'd wait til yesterday to announce it, and you've just been having these other places hold off announcements of you coming until the day before. How come?
Justin Bieber: I wanna making it excitinggggg. Like it's obvious by now, but this album I really wanna take it right back around the world. One by one, the countries are waking up and the fans are finally getting to see Justin for the first time in one, maybe two or three even years. The plane rides have been hell though. Jet lag is the worst thing ever.
Breakfast Talk: You're new album, 'The Collection & More' is in stores now. We all bought our copies and listened this morning actually. We were like, Justin is a once in a lifetime opportunity, we need to have our stuff ready haha. So in the morning we listened to all these hits, and some of these new songs. We're middle-aged Beliebers now! My favorite song was 'Fever', and my co-hosts favorite songs were 'Trainwreck Paradise Island', 'My Everything', and 'Just Between Us'. We were all turnt, as you would say.
Justin Bieber: Really? That's so hilarious, and I'm really happy y'all did that. Wow, the support is amazing. I'm really glad you also like 'Fever', that's actually one of the new tracks. I had a nice time making it, and the group I worked on producing it with is really underrated. I'm hoping that song sees the light one day as a single or such actually. I might need to call you when the music video is made, haha.
Breakfast Talk: Yeah, my daughter is also a HUGE fan. She's wanting me to get an autograph, so can you sign this album. In the meantime, while you're singing, I wanted to ask you -- did anything from your Canadian roots inspire you on this album?
Justin Bieber: I'll happily sign the album. Um, as far as Canadian roots - yes, there was definitely some moments there. I was actually sitting in Toronto at a family member's house, and that's when I got the idea for 'Grand Scheme' which is another new song that appears on the album. Lyrically, the song references 'my scheme to fame'. It took me back to my days in Canada just planning on being noticed, becoming viral, and being the person I am today. When I had nothing but a dream and my talent. There's some more examples, but that'd take forever to remember each influence in each song so that was just an obvious big one I remembered off the top of my head.
Breakfast Talk: So with the new album -- everyone, I mean...EVERYONE has been asking about these touring possibilities. Ofcourse, we're the next ones in line. With the new tour possibilities, do you have any idea of where in Canada you'll stop? Can we expect a visit back here?
Justin Bieber: Um, hmm... I would say Toronto or Vancouver is definitely a touring possibility. Ya'll will really just have to see how big this turns out to be I guess. I'm excited though, I'm ready to be traveling at my pace all over the world again. I'm coming for The Complete Dream's tour, this one will be the best yet. & if I do return I'll definitely try to jump back in here.
Breakfast Talk: Okay, we're about to go to our first commercial break. But before we do, ofcourse we need to talk more on this album. It features the new single, 'Memphis' including Big Sean. On top of that, you get past hits, mixed with new songs. It's a compilation album, Bieber's first, and has the fans ready for more. It's a taste of what's to come for Justin Bieber. More when we return, too.

The Justin Bieber train is on the tracks, moving steady, and moving towards American Idol. The 'Idol' Franchise announced downsizing in the upcoming season, due to the continuous ratings slump, which has been occurring for a few years now. However, FOX isn't ready to quite pull the plug on the show which has stood under the network since 2002. FOX is tying new partnerships, especially after Coke + AT&T announced the end of their partnerships with the falling show. One of the new partnerships announced under FOX, was with Justin Bieber & Hyped Music Records. The partnership would have Justin Bieber's catalog constantly covered throughout the series, in return for 3 appearances on FOX's American Idol. 1 gig as a Judge of 1 week with his music being covered by the contestants, 1 performance during that time, and another performance yet again during the finale. Justin's label, among with Justin accepted the offer which is said to have a sturdy amount of money in their bank accounts. In addition, FOX will also air their commercials with 'Memphis' included, Justin's new single, and have his discography added to the list of songs people are allowed to audition using. Justin previously appeared on the series during 1 episode a few seasons back, it became the 3rd highest rated episode, only behind the season opener and the finale which is what kicked the prompting offer.
A detailed list of the partnership between FOX's 'American Idol' & Hyped Records' Justin Bieber:
*** New single, 'Memphis' to be used in American Idol commercials.
*** Justin to talk about American Idol in a few upcoming interviews.
*** Justin's discography added to list of songs that contestants can audition with.
*** Justin's discography to be performed by finalists during 1 week.
*** Justin to be guest judge that week.
*** Justin to possibly perform that week, if not, around that time.
*** Justin to perform at the finale, possibly perform with contestants.
*** IDOL to fund some promotion behind 'The Collection & More' era.
Justin's new promotion gig with Idol, joins his deals with Adidas + General Mills. We're also told the Adidas shoes have been selling a considerable amount, which is good for Justin, as each shoe sold contains a free download of 'Memphis' the buyer can redeem if wanted -- paid for by Adidas.
Hyped Music Records spoke in a small interview with CNN about the deal.
CNN: So this new deal with American Idol is amongst 2 other deals with brands your label has done for Pop Singer Justin Bieber's new era. What's the thought plan behind it?
Hyped Music Records: Justin Bieber is one of today's biggest artists. When you become to that level, you're more than an artist -- you're a brand, you're an empire. That's just what we're crafting him to be, and what he's crafting himself to be. This is the next step, most singer's try to maybe do a performance or such with these companies. Meanwhile, we're doing commercials, having exclusives bundled, and raising budget. It's a smart idea, overall. Atleast our profits say so.
CNN: Some people in the music industry have been quick to criticize this plan. Some say it's unnecessary to sign these kind of deals, especially when it tends to be for 1 song. What's your label's take behind it?
Hyped Music Records: It's being modern. How much longer is an artists' promotion gonna be sitting down for a 10 minute interview discussing the same subjects, or a 5 minute performance. People barely even watch TV anymore, everything has to do with social media + average media. It's how you handle that, that's what's becoming important in 2015. Going into a store and seeing his face on a cereal box is just as effective, buying your new favorite shoes and seeing a free download is hell of effective, and having the songs performed by other people for an hour straight is effective as it gets. American Idol performances can go viral. It's all about a game plan.
A list of songs that contestants can audition with has also been released. Bieber's songs were excluded from previous seasons, due to the fact it's hard to get copyright with his label who have such strong protection.
List of songs:
*** Memphis
*** Fever
*** My Everything
*** Favorite Kind of Trouble
*** So Much for You
*** Surrounded
*** Just Between Us
*** Take Me to Your Heaven
*** Chemistry
*** Too Good to Lose
*** Time After Time
*** Showtime
*** Message in a Bottle
*** Turn Me Down
Justin also originally did some judging on Canadian Idol, to which he helped the ratings reach highs and also brung in a new audience. Justin's performance is said to be a big one, a supposed medley that FOX is spending lots of money to set up. Justin has yet to comment on the American Idol information, which is understandable considering the humongous promotion he's been doing behind his new album in stores 'The Collection & More' which contains 30 tracks including current single 'Memphis' featuring Big Sean. Justin's last performance on American Idol was also many seasons ago, so this will be a brand new revamp. With American Idol falling in ratings, losing partners, and losing the touch it once had -- could this be a start of revival? We know American Idol will need much more than Justin Bieber's songs to save them, but this seems like a decent marketing plan following the collapse they've received lately. American Idol's Executive Producer is also said to be making a comment on the deal later today. "People barely even watch TV anymore, everything has to do with social media + average media. " Perhaps, maybe FOX should also take Hyped Music Records advice?

Christina Aguilera is the next CoverGirl

It was confirmed early this morning that Christina Aguilera is indeed the next CoverGirl, following in the footsteps of homosexual comedienne talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Queen Latifah. This comes as a surprise since Aguilera previously has had no ties with the household American cosmetics brand. Having said that, it's also being reported that this business relationship has been in the works since the latter half of 2014. An official statement from Aguilera's management team was released upon the circulation of the news, confirming what we already know: "Yes, Christina will be the sole representative and head spokeswoman for the cosmetics brand CoverGirl. She's extremely glad to be the face of such a wholesome company that has shaped the lives of females over the decades. Unfortunately, there are no solid plans for Christina to promote under CoverGirl as of yet although something will come to fruition near the end of Spring. We hope everyone continues to support Christina in this endeavour and check out CoverGirl's latest line of cosmetic products, just in time for the new year." It's been alleged that Christina has reportedly signed on for a billion-dollar contract with CoverGirl although Forbes suggests that number was inflated quite considerably. However, they then retracted this statement and confirmed Christina was originally offered a slightly lower figure until it was decided on that CoverGirl were thinking of using Christina for more long-term purposes and that was when the billion-dollar contract was first introduced. This joins a slew of high-bidding offers from celebrities in the past, with Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman's deal with high-end designer brand Coco Chanel leading the pack. It's not known how long Christina will remain the face of CoverGirl. Nevertheless, CoverGirl did mention that they wanted to keep Aguilera around for longer than what they had planned so we assume that we'll be seeing her face next to the CoverGirl's logo for at least the end of this year.
CoverGirl has always been a successful brand since it was founded in 1961 by the Noxzema Chemical Company. It now stands as subsiadary to Procter & Gamble from 1989 onwards. Aguilera actually has ties with Procter & Gamble by being the face of hair care product brand Pantene so this could mean more projects are yet to come. In fact, CoverGirl garnered a considerable amount of controversy when it pioneered the "animal testing" phase of the beauty industry. PETA - polarising animal rights organisation - headed a campaign to shut down CoverGirl when documents confirming that they tested their products on animals arose. This has now completely changed as soon as the CEO position was taken up by someone from PETA. As a result, animal testing was banned from the company and its laboratories and instead took advantage of more humane testing techniques such as variations in the chemical compound of their products. Christina Aguilera is a fierce supporter of animal rights and has shown such passion throughout her career so it wouldn't seem fitting to then strike up a deal with a company who have previously run into trouble due to animal cruelty. However, we assume that Christina is aware of CoverGirl's dark history and actually admires the initiative they took and how much conditions for these mistreated animals have improved ever since. It also should be noted that CoverGirl are have done a lot to spread awareness about the growing concern of feminism and how that can be misunderstood or perceived in a negative way due to what the media tries to put out there. They are huge advocates of building up self-esteem and confidence, especially in young girls who are liable to be affected from external pressure to "fit in" with society's unrealistic standards and what society deems to be "the norm". Christina Aguilera is a notable pioneer of feminism in this generation where that can sometimes be overlooked by more tedious and trivial things.
The campaign that CoverGirl aims to market this year is rumoured to be very abstract and definitely stands out like a sore thumb, but in a great way! Christina is taking a more indie/experimental route with her very own career - Waves being the perfect lead single to showcase yet another reinvention of sorts. It will be interesting to witness how Christina Aguilera and CoverGirl will mesh together and whether it would end up coming across as being too forced or otherwise. It's also assumed that the campaign is currently in the finalisation process, ensuring that it coincides with Christina's 8th upcoming studio album. A blurry image of what seems to be Christina posing on a crystal-white bed with CoverGirl products is being passed around on the internet, specifically on pop culture forums and social media platforms. Not much is known as to whether Christina has already done a photoshoot or even filmed the early stages of a commercial with CoverGirl although it's said that that will be a nessecity in the near future since every single CoverGirl has done both a photshoot and a commercial before their contract inevitably expired.

Christina has actually previously expressed her admiration and adoration for the cosmetics brand when she tweeted a picture of CoverGirl's 2013 collection, with the caption: "Loving @COVERGIRL's newest collection. They never fail to top themselves each and every season. #fave". This was probably the first instance of some kind of correlation between the two parties. It could also be argued that this business arrangement has been in the works since that tweet in 2013. Contracts usually take quite a bit of time to completely finalise and, even then, companies still have to finish their current campaign before moving onto the next one in fear of not generating enough project to stabilise the company for a while before the next collection is released. Many are looking forward to Christina's involvement with CoverGirl, a fan expressed their interest on CoverGirl's Facebook page: "This is just amazing ^_^ My two favourite things in life: Christina Aguilera and CoverGirl coming together like this. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for your next campaign. Hopefully, Christina is here to stay. I love her!"

But seriously, you better check that cuz 1000 words is honestly a bit too long to say that a poster went up in Times Square. Things above 500 or so should get bonus points and stuff but I believe that at the end of the day, it boils down to the quality of the work. My school doesn't start till the 26th so that's why I have this little time to do this but in addition to that, I have a life. I have family, friends, I go to the movies...I do shiat and honestly writing 20,000 words a week in a game is just a bit much. Check that!

Miley Cyrus visits the Today Show.

Miley Cyrus just visited New York City to promote her new single, ‘D.U.I.,’ and she appeared on the Today Show to give them an interview and perform for the audience.
She appeared dressed in white short jeans, and long-sleeved white shirt on top, and sat down with Matt Lauer for an interview before she performed on stage.
Matt Lauer: How are you doing?
Miley Cyrus: I’m doing really well, thanks for asking. I’ve been overwhelmed with everything that’s going on right now even though this is like my fifth time doing it and still feels very new to me so, I’m doing very good.
Matt Lauer: What is the most difficult aspect of starting a new project?
Miley Cyrus: Um, really just trying to know what will satisfy the fans and what they would like and what I would like. So, finding that thing that makes me feel happy about my work and also hopefully make my fans enjoy the stuff I put out. It’s not kind of working on the material, rather then knowing what people would like and join that with the things that I want to do, if that makes sense.
Matt Lauer: It seemed that you achieved that with D.U.I., correct?
Miley Cyrus: Yeah, definitely. D.U.I. is actually a perfect example of what I said, it’ good and it’s something that I can really connect to and something I can proudly say I own it. I’m also happy the fans loved it.
Matt Lauer: So what is like making music with Miley Cyrus?
Miley Cyrus: I don’t know really, you’ll have to ask the people I work with [laughs]. But, I try to be very understanding because at the end there are people that are more professional than me and so I should take every word as an advice and really just value it. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have a say in things though, the people I work with really respect me and respect my artistic vision and want to make me feel comfortable with the material that I will put out under my name, so they totally understand that and I’m blessed to have people like that working with me.
Matt Lauer: When you say ‘feel comfortable,’ what do you exactly mean?
Miley Cyrus: Um, to feel convenient about what I’m working on and make it appropriate for the state of mind that I’m in, to simply feel happy about the record and not be forced into doing things that I don’t feel easy on.
Matt Lauer: So this new music, how’s it different?
Miley Cyrus: Well, some songs are really raw, you’ll get to see a really different side of me and a more honest version of me, different from the Wrecking Ball video, more raw, honest and emotional. And the others are pure fun tracks that still connect to me and have a meaning in my life. I’ve written all sorts of music, you’re going to hear country, pop, rock and more. When someone usually says their work is different, most of them really mean the process of creating that is different and they used different ways of creating that work but it’s still the same, so when I say it is different, I mean that the outcome is different The record is personal, fun, artistic and my best work yet.
Matt Lauer: Will we get to see the Miley we know?
Miley Cyrus: Oh, definitely, I’m still me so you will definitely see the Miley you know.
Matt Lauer: What is your artistic vision and how do you come with the things you do, what inspires you?
Miley Cyrus: Everything can inspire me, I go through everyday seeing new things and experiencing new things so it’s easy to feel inspired. I get the ideas from probably anything really, if I was hearing a song I like, if I saw a movie that’s really interesting, if I learned about something amusing and just simply daily activities. I can be inspired right now, so that’s where the inspiration comes from. I got the idea from that and basically I really just make it my own and have fun with it, be artistic about it. Half of the good things I do are like coincidences so I try to resort to that, be random and do what you’re going to do.
Matt Lauer: Now, how do you overcome criticism? how do you deal with it?
Miley Cyrus: Well, if you mean criticism as in constructive criticism then I’m very accepting and allowing of that and I really understand where people come from and put my self in their shoes so I don’t misunderstand them and you know not be fair to them. Before anything I say or do to anyone I always put myself in their shoes and just know how they feel like so I can really respect them and avoid being wrong. And if you mean criticism as in hate, I think nowadays with technology and things like that it really took hate into a whole different level and I think technology sort of took something away from the human itself, we now live in a different way and our nature is competently different from thirty years go or something so I don’t take the hate I receive from the haters as serious as any other comment about me. I’ve learned to accept myself and love myself and to block out the hate so I can really feel comfortable doing anything I want to do and not feel afraid about it.
Matt Lauer: What inspired you to do this album?
Miley Cyrus: There’s many factors, I’ve had a really crazy year you know and a lot of things were left unsaid and so I wanted to do something more personal for my fans because I’ve went through a lot these past two years and I wanted to share with them those special personal moments. And the other thing is that I really love music and wanted to go through a, scientific experience in some kind of way and so that was the journey and I made the album and I really feel confident about it.
Matt Lauer: Why did you choodse D.U.I. as the introduction to your new project?
Miley Cyrus: The song just perfectly describes what I was feeling during that time and now and it was done in such an amazing way so it was must be a single and when I thought about it, I decided it would be the first single because it describes the album that I’m making, the love for music and how addictive you can get from music. Plus, it’s a really catchy song so it was basically the perfect choice.
Matt Lauer: The video of D.U.I. is something you’ve never done before, you know, a comedy video or a parody, what was that like?
Miley Cyrus: It was really fun and extremely entertaining when I shooting the video, I felt like I was actually watching the video itself when I was filming it and so it was a really good experience and I had fun with it.
Matt Lauer: Why did you include the conspiracy behind the Illuminati video?
Miley Cyrus: It’s really just the idea that stood out from the others and had the most potential to be a really great fun video and so we did that.
Matt Lauer: And the perfume, talk about that.
Miley Cyrus: The fragrance is called ‘Lique’ and it’s for women and it’s really powerful, sexy and seductive in a dominant way. It’s that scent that when you smell you just have to want to know it, you know? It’s just really an amazing scent that most fittingly defines my image and I think the girls will love that, it also sends a message to be fearless because I feel like that perfume makes you feel beautiful and be fearless so it’s more than a fragrance.
Matt Lauer: When you performed on Dubai, what were you thinking during that moment?
Miley Cyrus: I’ve been really overthinking the performance throughout the whole trip, I couldn’t get myself to sleep in the plane because I was thinking about it and I was really nervous about that and when I arrived I had to sleep because I was extremely tired, but when I wake up I felt really new and ready for the show, but when I was on stage, that was the climax, I got shaky again and said to myself to kill it and I did that.
Matt Lauer: It was also announced that Glee is doing a tribute episode for you, how do you feel about that?
Miley Cyrus: I’m a big fan of the show and so when I heard the news I was really excited, I was really happy, like imagine being in my place. I really love that they did that and I can’t wait to see the episode and fangirl [laughs].
Matt Lauer: Does music like Glee, or any other artist, have influence in your work?
Miley Cyrus: Certainly, I get really inspired when I’m listening to songs and just listening to music really makes me excited to work and create someone of my own. I listen to a lot of artists that I love and I love how some people feel the same way about me, so that pushes me to work harder. A lot of artists have influence on my obviously, I wouldn’t be here without them.
Matt Lauer: Where will you be in the next ten years?
Miley Cyrus: Probably still making music that I enjoy and perform for my fans, I love to do that and I want to do it til I die.
Matt Lauer: What makes you feel that way? what makes you want to do it again and again?
Miley Cyrus: The different experiences, how every time it’s new and different never can get me bored. It’s a new thing everyday so it’s exciting.
Matt Lauer: And how does stardom conflict with you personal life?
Miley Cyrus: Even though I was on the scene since I was a child, I still feel like I’m like any other kind of girl, you know, I’m just a girl. I feel my stardom and personal join together in the music I create, so that’s the point of connection, so it’s good to have that joint in my life, to feel comfortable and do the thing I love at the same time, it’s heaven, it’s the best of both worlds really.
Matt Lauer: Here are some fan questions for you, Miley. Rebecca Smith says Cola or Pepsi?
Miley Cyrus: I really don’t have a preference, but I like diet cola, so, that.
Matt Lauer: Tom Nicks asks when will we listen to the album?
Miley Cyrus: We don’t have a date yet, so I don’t know too!
Matt Lauer: Alexandra Delano asks what was the last song you listened to?
Miley Cyrus: Um, Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA.
Matt Lauer: Ashlee Backs asks what is your favorite food?
Miley Cyrus: That changes daily, but I’m currently craving sushi.
Matt Lauer: I think that’s it, Miley. Go rock the stage!
After the interview ended, Miley Cyrus took the stage to sing “D.U.I.” for the audience, the stage, as usual, was in the middle of New York streets with fans aligning to enter the audience space. Miley says “Are you ready new york?” and then the performance starts with a grand piano solo at first and Miley singing the letters D, U, and I calmly in a breathy voice. String joined and it was like an orchestral score. Then the song instrumental kicked in and the audience cheered, Miley singed the song while dancing and moving on the stage. The performance included a very noticeable rainbow flag at the back of the stage behind the drum set, which is the LGBT community flag.
Miley’s new single ‘D.U.I.’ is available for purchase now.

Zendaya performs at Indigo Records New Years Party
On January 2nd, Zendaya showed up at a prestigious New Years party that was hosted in New York City by her record label Indigo Records. A lot of important music and fashion industry figures attended the event, including many producers, songwriters and artists. At the event, Zendaya walked down the red carpet, gave a speech and performed two songs on the stage: she perfomed her number one single "Gunshots" with Taylor Swift and a song called "Fireflies", which is included on her debut album. Although many A-list celebrities like Taylor Swift, Jessie J, Katy Perry and others attended the huge event, Zendaya was definitely the center of attention and not only because she was causing buzz everywhere she went as people tried to reach out to her and talk to her, but also because everyone couldn't get their eyes off of her beautiful face and her unique outfit. Throughout the night, everywhere she went, she was always followed by paparazzi photographers, interviewers tried to ask her questions for their blogs and media outlets, and other people who showed up at the event tried to talk to Zendaya because she is Indigo Records' biggest artist and a huge figure in music industry overall, and people probably tried to talk to her about her success or just compliment her amazing job, congratulate her for achieving so much so early in her career. Zendaya seemed to be really friendly and happy despite the fact that six of her unfinished demos leaked earlier this week and her creative proccess of creating her sophomore album was disturbed. But, Zendaya kept her head up high with a beautiful smile across her face as she was polite to everyone - she let every single paparazzi photographer to take a picture of her, she answered as much questions as she could, she talked to everyone that came up to her and she didn't ignore the people she didn't know and instead she introduced herself and acted friendly. But this isn't really surprising as Zendaya is really friendly and doesn't need to act, she always talks to people and never turns her back.
Despite being busy throughout the night with all those appearances on the stage and everything, Zendaya didn't miss the oppurtunity to do what she always loves to do - walk down the red carpet and show off her outfit. This time, Zendaya made everyone stop for a minute and look at her with her outfit. For this event, Zendaya decided to do something a little bit more interesting and different as she rocked Pharrell Williams inspired outfit. Zendaya was rocking a black smooth cotton jumpsuit that fit her body perfectly like some kind of glove, some high heeled shoes that made her look even more taller, and on top of her head, she put a Pharrell Williams type of hat, which visually made her look even taller. Although it was a really risky outfit - she wore a huge hat on top of her head with a classy look - Zendaya managed to perfectly mix high fashion, editorial type of clothes with something more casual but still really chic. No wonder why a lot of fashion blogs, magazines websites named Zendaya one of the best dressed celebrities of the year, including Polyvore website, VOGUE and Nylon magazines, and famous fashion designers and stylists. Zendaya decided to perform on the stage while wearing this outfit as well, so it kind of looked a bit weird to see her performing in this type of outfit, but she managed to pull it off and looked good on stage.
On the stage Zendaya showed up first to give a speech on what happened in 2014: "I'm really grateful for my label, Indigo Records, for picking me up when I was lost and for helping me to recover until I was able to stand on my own. After I left my previous record label, I thought that my music career was over and that I would never have a chance to record new music, to perform for my fans or do the things that I love to do. I thought that no one would pick me up again because I am a Disney girl whose debut album underperformed and caused a lot of damage to my record label. However, Indigo picked me up and they gave me the budget to do anything I wanted to do, they gave me an absolute control over my own career. They knew what I want, I knew what I want, and we both agreed on doing everything so I could achieve the things that we want both, and I think that we perfectly manage to co-operate and work together pretty well to achieve things that we both want to achieve, and I'm really thankful for giving me the chance to do things that I want to do. They don't have a lot of artists on their roster, but they sure do know that it's better to sign few artists and perfectly treat them, give them the budget that they need, instead of signing million of artists and mistreat them, which is unfair. I'm really happy that we achieved so much in 2014, and I hope that we will be able to achieve much more in 2015. I'm looking really forward to the things that we are planning right now, and we hope that we can do amazing things."
On the stage, Zendaya performed two songs right before the event was over. Rhythmic R&B princess performed her number one single "Gunshots" that went number one back in June and one of her "hit that got away" type of songs - "Fireflies", which written for her by Dawn Richards herself, and that never got released as a single despite being an obvious fan-favorite and an obvious smash. Both of these performances were completely wild, crazy, energetic and exciting. Even though people who attended the event and kept it all classy throughout the whole night, they all lost it all during Zendaya's performances on the stage: they all gathered closely around the stage, sang and danced along while Zendaya was performing. It was one of a kind performance because even though she was performing on a really small stage, plus there was this huge band placed somewhere in the back of the stage, so it was pretty impossible to do something amazing or exciting on the stage, but Zendaya still managed to invite six dancers on the stage along with her. Also, during "Gunshots" performance, Zendaya's close friend Taylor Swift, who is also featured on the song, came up on the stage and joined her bestie to perform their number one hit single. It was such an amazing moment, because even though the whole venue was packed with people and basically there was no space, but they all managed to dance to Zendaya's music, and Zendaya managed to serve one of a kind and unforgettable performance.

Miley Cyrus vists Z100
Miley arriving at the Z100 studios
Miley Cyrus arrived in New York City for a busy schedule week, at first, she appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, where she dished all about her life, her music and her growing up in the post light. After that, She went on to appear on the Today show and gave the program an exclusive interview before performing her new single, ‘D.U.I.,’ for the hardcore fans waiting for the pop star to show up on stage. Now, Miley Cyrus is visiting Z100 - New York’s number one hit music station (which also announced to spin D.U.I. every hour prior to the appearance, anticipating Miley’s visit) to tell all about her crazy schedule and how she’s transitioning between two eras.
Elvis Duran: Good morning Ms. Cyrus, how’s your day?
Miley Cyrus: Good morning to you too! I’ve slept very well in my cozy little bed so I’m doing very great thanks for asking, and you?
Elvis Duran: I’m good. So the first thing I wanted to ask you, honestly, is the fragrance, my little girl, Hailey, is very excited for it so I’m asking you, Miley, as a father. Is the fragrance appropriate for young girls?
Miley Cyrus: Absolutely! It’s actually appropriate for any age, it is strong yet innocent, it’s a very beautiful girly scent that I think you also would like to put it on [laughs]
Elvis Duran: Yeah, I might buy two pairs, one for my daughter and me if I liked it, [laughs]. Since we’re talking about your fragrance, I don’t want to ask you, you know why did you do it and things you’ve answered before so go ahead and explain why you did it before I start my question.
Miley Cyrus: Alright, so I’m in love with perfumes, I have a very large collection and I’m just obsessed with smelling pretty and beautiful things. I always want to smell good and I want everything to smell good, so when I got offered to you know endorse a perfume I just couldn’t resist, I couldn’t say no. So, that happened and I was really involved in the process and I was surprised because I always thought like they just put the artists’ picture in a poster and that was it but I was surprised and really happy with how I got involved with everything.
Elvis Duran: Beautiful, so my question is, what do you look for in a scent?
Miley Cyrus: Really anything original, something you never smelled before, something that will surprise you and shock you, you know what I mean? like when I smell something I want to open my eyes and be surprised by it in a good way.
Elvis Duran: Yeah, I get what you mean, you’re like me. So now the song, I must say that it’s one of the best released in two thousand fourteen even though it was released at the end of the year, seriously though how do you come up with these amazing songs?
Miley Cyrus: I wouldn’t take all the credit, most of the work is done by my producers, for the song specifically Max Maritn, Shellback and Benny Blanco.
Elvis Duran: So you’re saying you weren’t involve in the process?
Miley Cyrus: Oh no, I was one of the writers on that song, what I meant is that I wouldn’t want to take all the credit because these people had amazing ideas and they presented me with the demo version of the song before it was revamped, rewritten and improved so they come up with the core ideas for the songs sometimes. I do that all the time with my songs too, like one of the songs in the album it’s country and it’s solely written by me.
Elvis Duran: Speaking of the songs in the album, you mentioned in an interview that there will be a track titled “The Night,” can you please talk about that track in detail? any new information?
Miley Cyrus: That track is one of my favorites, it’s probably going to be the second single but nothing’s confirmed now, but it’s a really beautiful song about that magical feeling when you’re in love with a person, when you realize that you’ve given your all to that person and it was just me embracing that feeling at the beginning of any relationship.
Elvis Duran: When can we hear it?
Miley Cyrus: Um, I honestly don’t know. If it’s going to be released as a second single probably sooner than if it was an album track or maybe we’ll release it as a buzz single just because it’s that good and it needs to be released.
Elvis Duran: Who produced it?
Miley Cyrus: David Guetta had the original beat so he’s one of the credited producers, but the main ones are Rami Yacoub and Benny Blanco and Kristian Lundin is one of the writers which I’m excited about that.
Elvis Duran: D.U.I. is produced by Benny Blanco also, correct?
Miley Cyrus: Yeah, we worked a lot in the studio and he’s produced a lot of the songs on the album and his work is one my favorites things in the record.
Elvis Duran: Neat. Any other track titles you could give us?
Miley Cyrus: Um, I can tease it?
Elvis Duran: Okay, how?
Miley Cyrus: *Points up and down*
Elvis Duran: Sky? the earth?
Miley Cyrus: No!
Elvis Duran: Up?
Miley Cyrus: Yeah, you’re getting close.
Elvis Duran: I don’t know!
Miley Cyrus: Okay, it’s called Upside Down.
Elvis Duran: Oh, okay! There you have it folks, a Z100 exclusive. And now we’re going to play you the smash hit by Miley Cyrus, here is D.U.I.!
*D.U.I. plays*
Elvis Duran: That was D.U.I. by the one and only Miley Cyrus ladies and gentlemen, give it up [studio claps and cheers] So Miley, what was it like listening to the song just now, how do you feel about it?
Miley Cyrus: I was dancing, I’m gonna sound self-centered but I love it! I did a good job [laughs].
Elvis Duran: You certainly did. Miley, when are you going back to acting and filming?
Miley Cyrus: I did something special a few days ago that you guys will hear about soon, but I don’t know! I want to do it for a long period time but I not interested in any project right now, I will probably be filming a movie amidst 2015 but I’m not really sure. It’s in my head but it’s not plan-able, if that’s a word that makes sense, hopefully you get me. I just know that I miss acting but I got to do it for the music video for D.U.I. so I got that out and I’m a bit relieved.
Elvis Duran: Speaking of the video, I love it, congrats!
Miley Cyrus: Thank you! I really had fun filming it.
Elvis Duran: and the video got massive reaction on social media, did you know that it’s on par with Wrecking Ball’s views for when it hit one hundred million views in six days so you might break your own record!
Miley Cyrus: I know! that’s really crazy. I’m so blessed and overwhelmed with the amount of love and support that I’ve received from my fans, it’s insane like it was really touching and I’m so grateful for it.
Elvis Duran: Well, you’re obviously loved.
Miley Cyrus: Thank you so much.
Elvis Duran: I just wanted to ask you, before you started this project, what was your state of mind?
Miley Cyrus: Um, before I even knew I was going to make another album I was really empty and felt alone, I felt that I was with myself and I wondered why it felt like it was such a bad thing to be by yourself alone, at the end you know we’ve only got ourselves to fall back on. So I was trying to find answers to that and I just said like, **** it, [laughs]. So I said '**** it' and I’m not going to think about it, instead I’m just gonna act on things the way I would and will act. It’s not a flaw if you’re by yourself alone. You always have to put your best foot first and you’ll be okay, never give anyone your full trust unless you want to get hurt. So all of that was going through my head and then I got reminded that I have to put out another album and I literally was listening to music non-stop and that’s when my renewed obsession with music began again and well, here we are.
Elvis Duran: When you say your obsession with music, what do you exactly mean by that, do you mean like listening to music or making music and writing?
Miley Cyrus: Both, actually. I’ve been obsessing over both plus I was trying to learn how to compose and how to produce so everything came together and I was really motivated to make music, that’s why I think it’s my best work; because it’s the most bright time of my life.
Elvis Duran: and that’s not you just saying it because it’s your newest release?
Miley Cyrus: Actually, it sort of is because at this day I’m the most completed person I ever got to be and I’m at the maturest time of my life, I’ve grown up all my life to be who I am today, so that is one of the reasons but it’s not for promotional purposes or something like that, it’s more about how far I’ve come and how many things I’ve got to say about what I experienced the past few years.
Elvis Duran: Do you think it’s easier to grow up now than it was when you were just starting out?
Miley Cyrus: Um, I think both are at the same level. Now, I completely understand what I’m about and that makes it easier for me to grow up, you know, knowing what I want. When I was just starting out I was mostly having fun and not paying attention to what’s really happening and all of the madness just overshadowed a lot of things therefor that situation makes it also easier, so it kinda goes goes both ways.
Elvis Duran: You mentioned the madness and I wanted to know how do you cope with that?
Miley Cyrus: I just do, it’s all I’ve ever known so it comes naturally for me to cope with things like that, it also pushes me harder to do things more violently so it kinda helps me in a way? I guess. It’s just sometimes when a lot of things are happening that makes me more focused, even though it sounds weird.
Elvis Duran: I totally get that, you get a push to be faster and it’s like you’re in a middle of a war
Miley Cyrus: Yeah, exactly, it’s like a riot and you wanna participate in it, it as in the madness.
Elvis Duran: What are the different styles that you’re trying out with the album? we know that you did the rap thing in Bangerz, will we see something new this time?
Miley Cyrus: I guess, because every other track is different from the other, there are really dark songs that talk about the mysteriousness of life and the meaning of the life and deep **** like that, there are also songs about what I went through in my life, it’s just a variety of things really so you will definitely relate to at least two songs in the new record.
Elvis Duran: It was wonderful having you Miley, thank you for your time and good luck on your new project!
Miley Cyrus: Thank you so much for having me, thank you.
Elvis Duran: That was Miley Cyrus everyone, and here is D.U.I., the new hot single by her playing for you from Z100 - New York’s #1 hit music station, enjoy.
*D.U.I. plays again*
Miley left the studio after two hours, and headed off to an airport which could mean she’s going back home in LA, or maybe another stop to promote her new project.
Miley Cyrus’ new lead single ‘D.U.I.’ from her fifth studio album is available for purchase now.
