They did her so wrong. So many of the reviews were just talking about her personal life (the album came out just as she and Beau split) and trying to connect the songs to it.
So what if it sounded dated? If everything that sounded great 10 years ago is "dated" then give me exclusively dated music. The title track is a bop, Let It Be Me is a great ballad. So Good, Same Girl, Charades, First Love etc are all good tracks. It's not better or worse than any Rihanna album and those always get average Metacritic scores of like 65.
Lol no the whole album is lackluster. I'm a huge JLo fan but this album was a disappointment. Booty and First Love were the only half good songs on the album
For some perspective, Super Collider by Megadeth was the lowest-scoring album last year with 38/100. 38/100 was also the score of 2012's lowest-scoring album, Fortune by Chris Brown. 2011's lowest-scoring album, with 33/100, was Famous First Words by Viva Brothers.
Meatcritic scores have slowly and subtly been rising every year. I wonder why?
