Have you experienced racism by white people, POC?
Since it is often noted that racism toward people of colour is well alive, I would like to ask :
Have you experienced it personally and in what situation or are you yet to encounter a negative racist person.

Yes but It's kinda different here, It's mostly between Eastern European Jews and North African Jews.

I've been told ignorant comments by white people. Like this one boy in Spanish class 3 years ago was like "my great grandfather probably owned yours". Like... I was ready to call my cousins on that lil bitch. But whatever I moved passed it. He's a dumb bitch anyways. But I haven't been outwardly profiled or anything like that, just stupid people saying stupid things. But actually I haven't been told anything stupid in a minute...feels good.

And the fact that the person somehow thought that it was remotely funny.

Not hardcore racism, but I was practically STALKED by a security guard in Sephora of all places when I was in Rome. He followed me the whole half hour I was in that place.
And while in Amsterdam, a lot of clubs turned away some black guys that were a part of our group while letting in white guys.

Yes.
One of my teachers once said to me that i should know stuff about monkeys
And i used to get other stupid commenst thrown at me too. Some were jokes some probably weren't. (for example that my skin is covered in mud or dirt which is absolutely lovely to hear every now and then )
Oh and once in a store they thought i was stealing even though i was just holding stuff for my mother.

Dirty looks, assumptions about my religion/Islam, being called a "Paki", a group of people yelling "terrorist" at me.

Yes.
But the most blatantly racist stuff came from white "friends" who thought I was the cool black that would aloow them to say whatever they wanted around me.

This is absolutely disgusting. As if not all of the people have the same origin. I hope you showed the teacher that he/she is the real monkey.

Yeah, I have heard about the clubs denied entry thing. Quite often, unfortunately.

This is a difficult situation. Some people misuse their friend status and they think they can speak stupidity out of their mouth.

Not from white people. The only racism I have ever experienced was from Koreans

Yes. Mainly when I was a sophomore in high school, my chemistry teacher treated me like trash because I was the only nonwhite person in the class. She would call me stupid and gave me lower grades than I deserved just because of my race and it was really obvious. She had a reputation of being a racist and there wasn't anything I could do about it, I tried telling other teachers and even my parents but nothing happened. I couldn't get out of that class either. It was awful, I remember, my junior and senior years in high school when I used to see her walking down the hallways she always gave me a nasty look. But I guess that's what happens when you attend a predominantly white school these days

This is actually sad to hear. I hope you're past that trash person in your life.

From where I'm from not that many people experience direct racism, at least not in high school. In college people look past race and even sexual orientation here. Being black and gay sometimes even works to your advantage here because you're different. It honesty all depends on how you own your life.
Race was a non factor at my school because the kids who went there were richer and more educated
In fact there were more popular black kids at my school than popular white kids despite black people being a minority. Everyone listened to hip hop/rap or else you were uncool

Well, I'm not sure if this was racism but one time I got on the bus and the bus was semi packed so I couldn't get a seat by myself. I saw this white lady sitting there (I'm a black female by the way) and I sat next to her and this white lady got up in 0.383203 seconds and said excuse me and I was just like um okay and the bus wasn't even near the next stop. Then she got off the next stop and was just standing there - didn't look like she was going anywhere. But yeah, I didn't think much of it but God knows if it was racism or whatnot.

Omg, stupidity knows no limit sometimes. But darling, I swear this action only shows how dumb, provincial, uncultured and untraveled the woman is. As if she is any better.

Some people are paranoid that they won't be able to get to the bus door in time, so they get up like a million years before the next stop However, if it was racially motivated..
