It's still their religion and she went to visit so she needs to respect it, whether she agrees or not. It's a holy place not somewhere to take group pics like they're going bowling.
are taking pics allowed in the first place? because my friends has been to some Abu dhabi's mosques and she has taken pics like that and I don't think anyone said anything. Selena is not there to reflect on her life and pray, I think she is there to experience the beauty of mosque and frankly speaking there is nothing wrong with having fun at a place of worship as long as it is within the perimeters of its regulation.
there are much more bigger things to worry about than some ankles and I believe she is respecting the traditions by covering up her body. I really doubt she lifted whatever she is wearing to expose her ankles. I bet she just lifted it randomly.and so yes, you guys will bitch about anything and will try to make it about disrespect but at the end of the day, that is probably not even her intention at all..
Everyone is upset because she is intentionally going to a respected place of worship and disrespecting the church and an entire culture that believes it isn't right for women to show any skin, ankles included, by (clearly intentionally) showing her ankles she is disrespecting a culture and it is a big deal to many people and if you had any type of respect for anyone elses culture you would be offended too.
