The New York Post's, Page Six reports that Lava Records (Lava Music, LLC) would be defecting from Universal Music Group (UMG Recordings, Inc.) and would be returning back to Warner Music Group (Warner Music Inc.) where they've signed rock-bands Matchbox Twenty and Skillet. Later years under Universal Music, they have signed Jessie J, probably the label's bestselling artist

No no no. They first signed with Lava and Republic is just under an strategic alliance Don't worry, Warner Bros. would treat them realll nice.

Now I don't know about Lorde since she is actually signed to UMNZ and Republic.

Now, for example, Timbaland moved his label Mosley Music from Interscope Geffen A&M to Epic Records, and the only artist remaining with Interscope who is signed to Mosley jointly is OneRepublic. Oop.

Interesting... I wonder if the acts he signed when Lava was a Republic affiliate will remain on Republic.

And looks like head label Executive is fine with it.

EDIT: I forgot Lorde was on Lava too. She'll be fine - she's signed with Universal worldwide. Lava is only her US label.

I am not certain about the label's "popular" artists, but Universal Music is not caring about "popular artists" when they decided to sell Coldplay to Warner Music

So there is a chance that the majority of the artists will be going to into WMG.

I just edited my post above. Lorde is with Universal worldwide. Lava is only representing her in the US.

So what does that mean? I mean yes she is signed to Universal Music Worldwide.

But they still belong to Republic though, both Jessie and Lorde, since Lava used to belong to Republic, and Republic also has Jessie and Lorde on their artists page.

Bitch you got it all wrong. You wished btw, Lava was formerly under Atlantic until the CEO of WMG fired Jason so he fled to Universal, so Lava only there temporarily (only 6 six years) and they were with WMG longer.

So...

@Eglé oh and addition, Lava Music was born under Atlantic Recording Corporation, a division of Warner Music Group.

So pretty much Lava with Universal was only temporary, I mean the amount of Warner artists they have signed.

Oh and one final thing Black Veil Brides are also on Republic's roster
