Non-whites and/or immigrants, how is Australia treating you?
I always wanted to permanently live in Australia, it has always been my dream country, but I'm latino and I'm afraid about the bigotry there. Is Australia a racist country? And how do the natives treat the foreigners?

I heard it's not so bad in Sydney in certain parts, but otherwise yeah Australia is quite racist. Avoid it if you can.

There is no racism towards latinos here at all. Most of the racism in Australia is Eastern European tensions, or against our own native Aboriginals. Although immigration is a big issue at the moment because a lot of people have been misled by the government into vilifying asylum seekers fleeing war.

What do you mean by EE tensions? Meaning, between Ukrainians and Russians, or generally everyone against EE?

No most Australians are not racist and extremely accepting of different cultures and people. Although the way australians treat/talk about our indigenous and Islamic population really saddens me its really bad. But other than that i'm black and no one cares I've only experienced some rare cases of racism. As a latino you'll probably get Mexican/taco jokes my best friend is Venezuelan and people always made Mexican jokes in high school lol but for the most part I think Australians are a lot more accepting than Americans and much of the western world especially to Latinos. idk why we have such a bad reputation when it comes to racism

I'm brazilian, I can't even speak spanish but I think english-speaking countries probably don't see any difference.
I don't know New Zealand too well, is a warm, sunny country full of hot and fit people like Australia?
well NZ is next to Australia , can be a bit colder but the north island is warmer and in auckland it dosent snow , and there are definitely hot and fit people - maybe come holiday once.
(although maybe you should focus less on the hot and fit people since they could generally be more superficial and thus discriminate more towards you)

ive never heard a problem from my indian friends living in nz - maybe stereotypes at most (which affects everyone everywhere anyways) but definitely not personal attacks
Alan Monteiro maybe just do what you want but choose to live in a big city (where its more multi cultural) and be nice to everyone and just be mentally prepared for any racism.
