The UK is now a police state

Katie Hopkins is a disgusting excuse for a human being but I really don't think this should at all be a police matter. People should be allowed to express their views on twitter even if they are horrible views. As long as they aren't inciting violence against some group or harassing someone or something I see no reason to restrict their free speech.

Nothing will be done about this woman's tweets, but racist/homophobic/death threats etc etc tweets can rightfully get you in as much trouble as they would if you said them outloud. Just because you wrote it down rather than speaking it doesn't make it any better.

I'm guessing it was a bunch of Independent Scotland supporters being offended by her being a dick. Jock is often used as a negative word for Scottish people, and knowing how the person who tweeted it likes to act it was definitely used with its negative connotations.

The police focus on real crimes

I mean some things she say is a step too far but most things she says is the truth that people are scared off. Sadly this is one that was a step too far. However, this should not be a policing matter. She is not a criminal nor is she actually bullying anyone which is what the police watching the Internet was supposed to be about.

A lot of what she says could be classed as Hate Crimes.
