Why would I remove tons of history when I can simply limit things year by year?

Yes so I can accurately track my plays for the year, and so my top 25 playlist is more accurate to my current taste. Been doing it for the past 2 years

No never! My play counts go back to early 2009. It would be even earlier but I had to rearrange my music files and didn't know go also copy the iTunes library one. My most played track has 1500+ plays
