She had a massive global era with Roar and DH, which opened up the channels for lots of countries to be interested in whatever she had to sell them. Roar and DH were big enough to make her a draw (at least temporarily) on streaming services. Really annoying/lame that I have to explain this to you.
Applause had a much less wide reception worldwide so it's obvious the views aren't massive. But it doesn't matter? Lots of flop songs no one cares about have decent views for one reason or another.

Obviously people watch videos more than others, but these views obviously didn't help the song push past #24 on the Hot 100. Video views aren't a big deal when Applause outsold it and peaked higher on the radio and on official charts.
