People on this site often forget that when they use the term "legend", that they are using a real word with a real definition. That definition is "a famous or important person who is known for doing something extremely well". Using MJ as an example, he is a legend and is known not only for being a high-selling, a record-breaking artist but for also being a visionary who has influenced countless artists, who is a performer like no other and who is extremely talented and individual in his music. The same can hardly be said for Taylor. While she sells records extremely well, she isn't really known to most people as doing that, but simply making catchy music that a lot of people like, and that catchy music is neither unique enough nor influential enough to consider her a legend at this point.

you're acting like she isn't the youngest person ever to win Grammy Album of the Year, 1989 is a lousy album that didn't make a lot of year end lists. She's so much more than an artist who makes catchy tunes, yes her songs are catchy but they're always very smart, her lyrics are often highly praised. I hope you understand it wasn't Taylor stans' decision to make her a legend. It's undeniable that she's selling a lot, but there is a reason for that. In this digital era where people can download music illegally, she influenced people to purchase her music, she made people agree with her that art shouldn't be free, especially not when you put your heart and soul into it. Last but not least, why does she have 3 million debuts? bc her fanbase is huge! you can ask any of her fan why they love Taylor, it's mostly bc she connects her fans with her music. What is the most important reason that makes you a legend in the music industry? Guess what, it's MUSIC. I can go on and on about what achievements Taylor and her albums have made but let's just stop here
