Nah its just I have to quickly get together my best of decades list between Jan 1 and 4 because I start school again on the 5th and this semester is packed

In the interest of speeding things up i'll post some more!
Looks like what I have to say is more detailed now..
55 A: sZa (or is it SZA??) (feat. Chance The Rapper) S: "Childs Play"
Aside from the obvious standout "Babylon", "Childs Play" felt like a really important song for me especially because of the toned down nature where you can actually really hear and understand her clever lyrics. I also love the way her voice melds/transitions into Chance's voice.
54 A: Charli XCX S: "Break The Rules"
The carefree rebellious nature of this song feels timeless to me. I'd honestly place it higher than "Boom Clap" though both capture the pure joy of Charli's pop music. I was instantly hooked and still a huge fan of this track and everything from her album but as I mentioned already I couldn't fit her album into this year's list but you can look forward to it for 2015!
53 A: Sam Smith S: "Safe With Me"
Another Sam Smith track (and the last one) but unlike the other it wasn't on his debut album! Remember way back at the beginning of the year when he released an 'experimental' EP? It had cooler modern sounds and left the Adele-lite ballads to the side in favour of some interesting songs. I was seriously hoping he'd keep this style but alas.
52 A: Trust S: "Are We Arc?"
So when I did get the chance to listen to Joyland there were two songs that stuck with me big time. This was the first one and I think I speak for everyone when I say that this is a definite standout. Its got a cool dark wave feel and builds a lot of suspense which makes it a very exciting listen.
51 A: Lykke Li S: "Never Gonna Love Again"
The rawest of the songs, "Never Gonna Love Again" is gloriously vulnerable with deeply genuine vocals and honest although simplistic lyrics. It stuck with me a lot after I listened to her album and feels like another underrated track (like "Sleeping Alone").
I mentioned that album openers were strong but some album closers were stronger. "Waking Light" is a perfect way to end Beck's album. It really builds up to something grand towards the end and unleashes a chaotic beautiful instrumental.
49 A: Becky G S: "Shower"
Oh yes how much I love teen pop. I came across this song while watching the Canadian equivalent to Disney Channel and I am instantly hooked. That beautiful intro, the incredible hook and the beautifully blissful way that Becky G delivers this song - its so full of life and honestly certain main pop girls (ahem Katy) could learn a thing or two from her! Nobody has captured the essence of teen pop in such an important way since, I don't know, 1998?
48 A: Karen O (feat. Ezra Koenig) S: "The Moon Song"
This one's technically from 2013 I guess but since I hadn't watched Her and I really only heard of it from the 2014 award season I'm counting it. Its an incredible duet ballad between two incredibly talented artists and just a moment of pure simple bliss. I was hoping Karen O would approach her Crush Songs album with a similar style but in the end I did like the raspiness.
47 A: SOHN S: "Bloodflows"
This was the second song from SOHN's album that I liked. This one has a really nice buildup that starts from a mellow song and transitions into an exciting electro-R&B track. He really sounds like Justin Timberlake here which might be why I like it.
46 A: Katy B S: "Still"
I like this style for Katy a lot but to be honest I was underwhelmed as a whole with her album. This one has such a soulful delivery which I appreciate and the lyrics are very personal and emotional. Its a good album closer (I guess?) but I wish it was more successful.
This is some powerful stuff. His voice is insanely perfect - the right amount of grit and the right amount of soul. The song is such a cinematic masterpiece its hard to not appreciate it. I'm curious to see what else he can deliver.
44 A: Tove Lo S: "Talking Body"
Every song on her album is catchier than the last. I really have nothing more to say other than this is perfect pop, she had such an amazing debut and I really hope we keep hearing from her.
43 A: Broods S: "Killing You"
It pretty much sounds exactly like Lorde. I love that. Its a darker moment and its delivered with great conviction with cool instrumental. I felt like this one was the standout of the album...
42 A: Angel Olsen S: "White Fire"
...and this one was the standout of this album. Think of it as the centrepiece in a way, its brilliant lyrically and one of the most impactful cinematic moments.
41 A: 2NE1 S: "COME BACK HOME"
As I mentioned I hadn't listened to much K-Pop prior to this year. I'm glad I started with 2NE1 though because from the first moment I heard this song I was hooked. The effortless combination of several different musical styles into one jam-packed pop song is so well-done!

The song with Chance wasn't as good as the song with Kendrick, but I like both.
Break the Rules doesn't deserve the hate it gets!
Are We Arc? is one of those tracks that really hits you about halfway through the song.
Shower is strange for me, I kinda like the cutsey element but it doesn't hit hard enough!
