IE has been trash for so long now, and it has actually only gotten worse the more they've tweaked it. Completely disposable at this point. I haven't cared for Firefox for years, basically ever since Chrome came out. Chrome has a few issues but for the most part easily trumps the rest. If it can somehow manage to eclipse ha, I'll jump on board.
The article says no. IE will still exist for backwards compatibility. I dont know why people are happy with these developments. The article clearly states the new browser uses the same materials the old IE uses and gives it the look of Chrome browser. I wouldn't expect much in terms of performance gains. Its the literal definition of putting lipstick on a pig.
It's a marketing ploy. It's not anything new under the hood.
IE is complete ****, and I'm using Firefox. But even Firefox is using too much RAM.
