Why ?

Donatella loves Nicki. But she's going to have to wait for her, she's currently the new face of Roberto Cavalli. A Nicki x Versace campaign would be everything though. Nicki has always been a Versace girl.

She wants Jolie for the next campaign, I think it's too early for a Nicki campaign, she would represent the brand better when she matures physically a bit.

Versace's market is not exactly the 20 year-olds.

But she already stated that Jolie was a long-shot. I mean, I would say that Nicki definitely fits the Versace aesthetic more-so than that of Reberto Cavalli. Besides, by the sounds of it she would want "Hip-hop" and " Edgy street" Nicki, not matured and reserved. But you never know, only time will tell.
