Here's a 17-year-old version of the pop singer at an awards show back in 2006 (left) and eight years later...the international sensation -- who celebrated her 25th birthday this weekend -- at a ball last week (right).

Good genes. She looks the same to me, just better makeup and hair. Plus she's a young woman now.
