"Style" has a chance of underperforming. Let's get into what No$tradamus said in October.

"Style" sounds great with your earphones, but it's a little too soft-sounding for radio. It won't sound nearly as good on the radio and will be hard to stand out, as opposed to another 80's-inspired record like "Boom Clap," which has those strong drums and claps to draw in consumer's ears. But then again, it is Taylor Swift, her name alone could make "Style" perform like "Boom Clap," but "Style" is the wrong choice for a second single and will slow the momentum. Save it for the third or fourth, Swift.

So wise.

I keep thinking the opposite, that it fits radio better than earphones. It has a very sing-along friendly chorus and the lyrics are cute enough for it to stick in people's minds.

Maybe, maybe. "Style" sounded good in that Target
commercial whenever it came on television.
