In this village temperatures reaching 67 degrees below zero and rightly is considered the coldest place on Earth . Oymyakon is located in Russia , near the river Indigirka in the northeast of the republic of Sacha in eastern Siberia . In these images , the photographer Zealander Amos Chapple has documented the extreme climatic conditions in this small town which has only 500 souls . The icy cold affects considerably the everyday life: the cars are parked only in garages , outdoors if not left on they do not restart , and the market sells only meat and fish , the fields do not produce crops
dd I have my weather app set on Ojmjakon on my iPhone, it's always -50°C and foggy I'd love to visit there tho.
Came in here to post this. I update it all the time and I'm like wtf. I could never find out which is the hottest place tho, I've had several people saying Death Valley but it's 0-14°C there.
