Here's the thing. I love my playstation. Had some excellent games. I bust it out every now and then to play some CTR, Tekken, etc.
But it doesn't get nearly as much use as my N64. The N64 always finds its way out when friends are over. Nintendo makes timeless games that you will play for decades after release. Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Smash Bros, Goldeneye, and more are great for parties. You also have a ton of single player classes in Mario 64, Zeldas, Kirby 64, and more..
I liked a few N64 games but they always felt...small. Whereas my PS1 games were huge.
I could defeat a Mario 64 level in a matter of minutes. Ape Escape however, could take up to half an hour on the 4th Level.
Ape Escape was the first PS game I played, and I remember getting to the last level and thinking "OMG" because it was MASSIVE. Even by today's standards, this level was huge.
